One of the highest causes of death asides smoking and obesity is Sitting. From bed to the toilet to the dinning table to the vehicle to the office; we basically siteverywhere. Are you thinking what I'm thinking?
I read a study that found fatty cysts begin developing in the liver after just 2 hours of sitting, but it takes only 2 minutes of getting up and moving around to reset that clock.
A sedentary lifestyle is a bane. Unfortunately, it is also tied to the occupational health hazard. A threshold minimum physical activity is required either passively or actively.
Exactly. I firmly believe that our occupation should make us do some minimum amount of physical work compulsorily for all. That way neither people have an inferior outlook on physical labor nor they will suffer from a sedentary lifestyle.
That may not be enough. Employers should make it integrated into the work profile in such a way that, regardless of rank everyone will be made to do some sort of physical work in orientation with their core competency.
Like on those holes in the ground toilets, but even there you have to squat somehow, but that indeed uses more muscles than sitting on the comfy wc … let‘s all throw out our comfy toilet seats then 😉
Yes, unfortunately, things have evolved rapidly, but we as human beings haven't. That leads us to have a lot of behaviors that are harmful to ourselves.
Yeah, of course. A lot of things are primitive behaviors we got from our ancestors, like sit a whole day to save energy for danger moments, like be attacked by wild animals and stuff like that. But today we don't have anything like that...
You're right, too much of sitting don't let blood go in circulation
And it also stops the muscles from doing their job.

That's right. I came across this too. It's amazing how just five minutes of stretching can go a long way to reset certain things.

This is one of the ills of technology that makes us at ease. AI would worsen it. Our great grand parents did a lot of hard work and they lived longer.

Very true. The balance is really key and we need to maintain discipline.
I delved a little bit deeper and due to this a lot of organisation have the movable desks that enables workers to stand while at work.
That may not be enough. Employers should make it integrated into the work profile in such a way that, regardless of rank everyone will be made to do some sort of physical work in orientation with their core competency.
Oh noice. That should be added to the daily routine of workers. After all, it's their lives that the employers are trying to prolong.
We all need the balance. If our work requires a lot of siting, one should intentionally take a work and do aerobics in between. Diet well too.
That's right. Taking five minute breaks to stretch during intervals is very important.
shitting is bad :P
That's exactly the point 😅
ha ha whereever you are -do no shit
Standing is a better option now.

Nope😂😂. I do not side this thought.
😉🤙🏽
😂
I tried to warn others :P
Yeah, That's something I need to change. I have to start walking more, at least 30 minutes a day.
Yup. Living a sedentary life is very toxic even if it feels relaxing.

It would have been better if we evolved right?

That's a nice mindset.
The more reason we should make time out to walk and exercise
That's very true. It's necessary
