I never had/have these problems with twatter or gab.
As purely a user - and not getting an erection from tech - I'm not interested in their problems.
'Buy this car!....yeah we know it doesn't have any brakes at the moment, but we're working on that".
Maybe it's better not to launch the car on the market until it 'just works'?
How many hardforks have we had (inclduing steem)?
How many have ran smoothly?
See what I mean?
"I don't want reasons for it not happening, I want results to show that it's happened".
I SPEAK FOR THE SILENT MAJORITY. (AROUND 99% OF THE INTERNET USERS).
I think techy nerds have completely misunderstood the meaning of 'the meek shall inherit the earth'
You would think after all this time, something as simple as a chat system for a block chain would not be hard to do since it is by it's nature only text which block chains are suppose to be designed for - text - . Parachat was a simple free chat room system, the free room would allow 15 people to chat you could pay and have a lot more people in a room. They could set their font their color their and the background color, there was an ignore user function and the admin of the room had access to logs if they had a paid for room. That was 15 years or more ago.
ICQ was a very simple instant messenger, people keep wanting a simple direct message system that is for Hive, and not have to go into discord to leave someone a short message. Once again a 15 year old program that worked.
The problem is they are old programs, not even sure if they are in use still or not, but being old people think that the tech has moved beyond what the old programs had, not always true.
A lot of the developers ask what people want, and then they come up with a thousand reasons why it wont work or can not be done, such as the number of page views of a post. Apple, Google, Bing, Youtube, facebook, all have page view data available, all have been able to make it work, yet back in Steem Days, page views were removed, they didn't work, that is what the Steemit team told everyone, that is what the Hive Developers say when people ask about page views, they wont work.
I think a lot of the Dev's on Hive suffer from slight myopia.
