Seems like I will have some tunes to listen to this weekend. So many music memories, and so much music in a life. I don't remember when I first heard Joey by Concrete Blonde, but it was that song that lead me to their other music, and they do have quite a bit of different music.
Concrete Blonde - Joey (Official Video)
I really liked the entire Bloodletting Album. So much variety, heart and soul in the Album. "Tomorrow, Wendy" is also on the Album and another of my all time favorite songs.
Second offering, I used to love to take a shower, then sit and relax in a nice bubble bath to just soak in the essence of the day and to meditate on nothing. I would have all kinds of bath oil beads and scents, the music and the Album I would listen to while soaking was Mazzy Star So Tonight That I Might See. The first song that grabbed me and refused to let my mind go was Fade into You, I had to have the Album, I was lucky that our one store that had a fairly large selection of music, (not so much now), had the Album.
Into Dust has to be one of the most haunting songs I have ever heard.
Superb choice, and yes I think we'll have some music to investigate this weekend!
I'll admit I don't know many Concrete Blonde tracks and I'll be certainly checking them out; I've se Sunday aside for that task and there's certainly many I have on the list from this post. Joey was about the only one I know. That Mazzy Star track is also quite haunting as you say and I'll listen to some more of theirs too.
Thanks for joining in this week. :)

This was a great selection, I think it took me almost three hours to go through the entire post from when I first opened it. You are certainly going to break records for length of page view in the analytics. I of course will be checking in and ordering the comments by posted on Saturday and Sunday just to see what other offerings are out there, especially Non-English language choices, I was so glad to hear music from other countries.

I'd give more but I think that's the limit, and I hope that I have not used my allotment up, because this was a great choice, and is having great participation.
Hey there. Thanks for saying so...I really hope people use these opportunities to engage more and meet people, that's the intention. It's been a good week so far huh?
Thanks for the tokens and thanks also for stopping by and engaging with others. This is how we will help hive thrive, in my opinion.

I had a slow week engagement wise, but I think your post here got me back on track. So many wonderful songs.
That's great, being back on track. We're closing in on our end of year targets now...I may need to reset mine I think, make it higher.

tokens. Not at all familiar with your two bands but I do like the choices. I like some of the ways the female voice makes songs come out. If there was a male singing the songs, I could be biased from listening to it but I think they just wouldn't sound the same. Thinking about that for a minute, I want to find covers of popular songs by women, wonder how that will turn out lol
That song is indeed haunting and got some eerie vibes to it but I do like it, sounds cool!
On the topic of women singers, here's a cool track I love to listen to. It's mellow, got a great female vocalist and has some pretty deep lyrics, I think.
Yeah Yeah Yeah's - Maps
Cool entries this week!
Pretty nice voice on her, I do seem to enjoy the female voice over the male, but then again I am a guy, there are a lot of fine male singers, but it seems lately that I find more variety in the female voice, perhaps I just got to used to the male leads, but I don't think I have heard a truely unique male voice sing the days of FYC, (
Fine Young Cannibals) thats a link to She drives me Crazy Song.
I’ll have to check that song out later thanks!
Yeah I’ve found a couple of great female voices, not sure how many of them are still making music but it’s still some good tracks to listen to. For male voices, the singer of Muse seems to have a good one, I’ll add my favorite Muse song here later!
