I know it is because I've purchased some of that would that was cut and ready for that. It's the only way I could get real ebony, no large pieces available. Also bought M.O.P. for inlay, same that is used for musical instruments. Miniature carving has resulted into my crossing into several related fields (knife-makers, sword-smiths, metal carvers of all kinds, musical instruments, dental, jewellery, . Never happened with large carving. Funny how that is.

Any kind of woodworking tends to get you into other crafts. It's part of the beauty. The same is true form other crafts getting into woodworking for any reason. It's interesting how that works! A total lot of fun!

I've added it to the list. Yes, I'm crazy for doing 333 inlays of wood into wood that never should have been done with either of the woods. 🤣
