A productive Sunday in my life starts with coffee
Every productive day does!
I too love working in cafe's and coffee shops. I think it gives your mind and body a feeling of "ah ok now I can relax and get some stuff done" - and you don't have to do the dishes which is a bonus.
Comments go a long way and I try to make at least 5 valuable comments each day but I also don't beat myself up too much if I don't get to. I tend to read quite slowly so that actually takes me more time but I'd rather leave a comment after actually reading the post. I can't stand comments that are two words and show absolutely no insight into the post.
It's so lovely that you are helping out your mom and it's true that retirement should be about balance, not about doing nothing. It's meant to still be enjoyable and full of doing what you love. These days though so many retirees are using their time to run small businesses that it still seems to revolve around work.
That's true! although staying with my mom I am pretty spoiled, she always gets it done before I did it.
I realized that not everyone is a fast reader or typer. But because what I do is always revolving around reading, typing, writing, it becomes natural at this point 😅. I was trained to read fast and also write fast otherwise, I'd be left behind and I can't be on time on my assignments. I am pretty sure everyone likes it when somebody reads them which is the point of being on Hive or any social media- It's that genuine engagement that we crave. I really don't see the point when someone just leave a comment and judge it by its headline as it shows.
Not doing anything for elderly is also not good for their health. I had so many family members who don't do anything ended up falling sick and immobile. It's best to still train their muscles and even do simple work. One of my grandpas ran a business until he was in his 80's and eventually passing away due to late stage cancer. He had a good run in life and he was so inspiring to me that even during his sickness he was still working. He only stopped working just a year before his death.
Thanks for commenting and visiting my blog!
That's very kind of her to do the dishes.
I have tried so many different ways to increase the speed at which I read, but my brain struggles to keep up lol.
We do need the real engagement and it's sadly missing in conventional social media - but I think it was designed like that on purpose.
I couldn't agree more on the elderly keeping themselves occupied, I think that boredom is an early death sentence to be honest. I'm sorry to read about your grandpa, but 80 is a full lifetime and it's great that he was inspiring right 'til the end.
Have a fantastic week up ahead :)
