Well, there goes working week forty six for 2023 and Friday is here again. Thinking back on it, my own week, I can say it was neither good or bad, it just was. That's not to say nothing good or bad actually happened, that's just part of life I guess, just that those things slipped by in unremarkable fashion and didn't have much of an effect either way. What does have an effect is that tomorrow is Saturday and that's followed by Sunday - Now there's something to get excited about right?

Hmm, maybe I'll do a kids one next week, this week I reckon let's let the non-human pets take the stage huh? I don't think people calling children my pet on the internet would be a good idea.
Lol most snowflakes will take offense to this. But I would highlight that pet people call their pets their children and sometimes even love them more than their own kids.

Been a good week really, had a detached day, a day just for myself, and got some other things done...signed a contract that will carry me forward in a multitude of excellent ways. For the weekend, some reading, writing, putting up my Christmas lights (on the front if my house), gardening, watching Formula One racing live from Las Vegas...a pretty good weekend I hope.

Nice! I am just starting my work day! Had a training session this morning at 8:30, and the coach made me stay till 10. then I did a spot of shopping. Back home and cleaned up. Now it's time to push out some stuff before the real boss gets home!
Sounds like a pretty busy weekend on your side. My side is going to be chilled; no plans besides my kid's concert on Sunday, and I would like to do 1 run. but I am fine with that. I would like to chill. It was a busy 2 weeks, and I trained 5 days this week. My body needs some chill time.
I consulted the Oracle and the Oracle has advised a weekend of rest for you, no run, just chilling...and one ignores the Oracle at one's peril.

I don't have a pet, and since I have to go to the cottage over the weekend and prepare it for the winter (bring in wood for the stove, empty the water heater, drain the water from the pipes...), which I don't really like to do, I will definitely make a picture with I will confirm that...
or I will play with the neighbor's dog and write a story about the dog 🙂

This was a beautiful little cat called Dixie, I loved her very much. She had a beautiful nature and was very affectionate but also had some funny personality traits. I miss her very much.

Yes, pets are very dear. I had a little dog named "Mochi" when I was a child. I still remember him very fondly. I am at my daughter's house spending the weekend with her and her pets and learning all about Hive. I am a very dedicated student, I brought notebook and pencil ✏️.

She was, I loved her so much and miss her every day. Her name was Dixie. I responded in another comment on this post how I lost her very tragically unfortunately.
oh no sorry to hear that. I don't think I saw that comment. did you end up getting a new pet after that incident or was it just too tragic that you considered just not having pets.
It was a terrible situation and we were devastated. I'd gotten Dixie as a resent for my partner who doted on her and she was distraught also. I also had a Canon 300mm camera lens go missing when that person left the house...he was garbage, unfortunately the boyfriend of my sister. Anyway, I'd probably cut his head off with a blunt spoon if I was to run into him now, which will never happen considering he lives interstate.
We had another cat at the time, my best mate Merlin, and now have Cleo (Cleopatra) so have other cats but none could replace Dixie. They are all unique in their own way.

I see this means you're more of a cat person which is cool because I've always seen online that they are pretty independent and can be playful as well. I used to watch this show called cat from hell and it was interesting how this guy could understand their behavior and help fix it to be better for the family etc.

Well, the lens was in the camera bag in the cupboard before he arrived and when he was gone (a week after they left) it was gone. I know my sister didn't take it and I know aliens didn't beam it up to their planet. It is a logical conclusion I guess.
As for my cat, the cunt kicked her in the side and shattered all her ribs on her left side. We didn't know until two weeks later when he lungs filled with fluid and she couldn't breathe. we took her to the vet for x-rays and they confirmed the situation. She survived the surgery but not the recovery. No one saw him do it but he had made no secret of the fact he hated the cat for the couple days they were staying at my house. Had I seen him do it he would have been cut to pieces there and then. She was a completely indoor cat so there was no chance she was injured elsewhere and the vets were very clear in their estimation as the damage was something they have seen many times and conducive with a kick to the side.
That's an unfortunate case for the lens. Can't believe people have the audacity to steal like that
that sounds horrible. how is that not ex-bf though that's messed up. I can't imagine if that dude somehow married into your family that would be quite worrisome. You sister needs to date better guys! If the guy is treating a cat like that, I would about how they would treat your sister or even their future children.
I still don't understand why someone would do that to a cat that probably wasn't aggressive at all. It seems like he has mental issues and taking out anger on something smaller and innocent just reminds me of bullying and how I got bullied in the past. Kind of disgusting and I'm surprised you didn't go to his house and rip him to shreds after that. I feel like other people in this situation would post this story on social media and tag that person but I don't think you would be the type to do this.

On another topic this weekend, I think I will not do much, I got Covit and I thought that this disease was already in oblivion, it is the first time I get it, the medicines make me sleep more than desired so my week was quiet except for the natural remedies that my mom prepared for me, oatmeal with turmeric and salt was the one I liked the most, hehehehehehe.

Very cute cat! My wife is super allergic to cats, so our time with them is usually quite limited. Oddly enough, she doesn't seem to be impacted by our dog that much. Not that we know of anyway, maybe that will change once she is no longer with us.
She was a beautiful little cat, Dixie was her name. Lost her tragically, (I explained in another comment on this post) and not a day goes by I don't think of her.

Sorry to hear that. We used to have cats when we were kids, but they would always take off and never come back. We lived out in the country, so it's hard to say what might have happened to them.
Yeah, cats have a way of doing that, strange little things sometimes, but I really love them and how a person needs to work for their affection.
With this one I can share the moments I took with my loyal friends. I may not understand them but their love is something that we can't just ignore.😊

My week was very active, very active, I took a break on Wednesday, because otherwise the stress was going to affect me, I went to the beach, walked in the sand and drank mate there, it was great. That little gave me energy to continue.

This one in my post is Dixie, I loved her so much. A house guest kicked her very hard (didn't like cats) and shattered all her ribs on the left side. We had her operated on and she survived for a few days after but tragically died on the day we brought her home from hospital. It was tragic and hurtful and should I see that person who did it (I know who it was) he would be drinking his food through a straw for the rest of his life by the time I'm done with him.
Anyway, now I'm mad. So, have a good weekend, I'll catch you around.

Someone told me, whoever doesn't love animals is not a good person and I think they are absolutely right, if someone hurts my children (cats) I will... you know... with all the strength I have!

I read so many touching stories about pets and their owners that sometimes I wished I like pets, but I'm quite OCD over cleanliness and feel it's really weird to cuddle a living and moving object that isn't a human being.
Did you read the news this week about the dog who stayed with his owner for 10 days who died hiking in America? That was so sad but so moving.
I know a few people like that, can't abide the thought of pet hair or whatever, I get it, and there's others who are allergic to cats or pet hair and so on. All understandable.
For me, I couldn't imagine my life without my cats (have only one currently) and they bring an amazing amount of happiness into my life; more than most people to be honest. Of course, it is additional work, keeping the house in order as I also have a need to have an immaculate house...but it's worth it for me, the benefit outweighs the loss in time.
People have the right to choose I guess, and there's no right or wrong to it, there is just the individual's way.
That photo of Dixie never fails to make me smile with a twinge of after smile anger.

I think about her every day, there's pictures around the place for just that reason and it makes me mad to think about the actions of that asshole...I don't enjoy being violent, although am pretty good at it, but would be most pleased to unleash some painful and lasting retribution upon that person given the chance; I would not be kind.
Cats are so awesome man, I mean how much happiness do they bring to your life? No answer needed, I know because I get it myself from mine. It's difficult to think of not having them.
There are many coincidences in this week that passes without pain or glory, as we say around here. In my case, it must be that the passing of the years leaves me with fewer adventures to do during the week and the routine of work leaves me without much else. Good thing there is this process of creation.
In that sense, it seems to me that the two proposed themes are intertwined and you can kill that monotony with your beloved pets and prevent the weekend from passing without having fun or doing something different during the week. Thanks for sharing.
