The first thing I saw were people in the lake. Seriously, look up there - there are lots of little people silhouettes made from the light reflections. Kinda creepy. I'm glad you survived. Maybe it isn't creepy, maybe it's some Lady of the Lake stuff, like Here is Excalibur... I hope not for your sake, because I think you'd really regret walking away without grabbing it.
If there were people in the lake I'd say they were bonkers; no one goes in there, although it's happened a time or two in the past...some have ended up as dead bodies feeding the ducks, or the bunyip that lives under the bank. (Google, bunyip)
Any mention of me and Excalibur is legit...if only I had such a sword, I'd wield it well, and for the right reasons...Alas, I'll have to rely upon other edged weapons until Excalibur comes into my possession.
Ah, the bunyip. Interesting. Hadn't heard that one, and I've read a lot of weird world myths to my kids. Yep another thing humans have come up with that represent our fears of swamps and the likes. Maybe it's just a bunch of little baby bunyips I'm seeing in that water.
And maybe Excalibur is just waiting for you to take a vacation to a lake in England? Who knows.
There's a few good Bunyip stories getting around, a search will find some and maybe your kids will like them. As for Excalibur...I was in the UK a little while ago and looked, I even went to Tingagel, but no luck. A break couldn't be had...but I'm not the give up type of guy. You know that. 😊
