Let's spill the sap shall we?
I had no idea why maple syrup was so expensive. It never made sense so I'd typically use agave as sweetener. After seeing the process Sweed goes through it's a lot clearer to me now.
What isn't clear, however, is the taste. I can't consume store syrup anymore Joan because it tastes nothing like he stuff in the photo. I don't know what that stuff is on the shelves.... 🤔
That sap is liquid gold, watching how Sweed and Wifey get to tap it off makes one appreciate how much work is entailed.
Sweet pleasures come at a cost when imported, so one bottle a year has to go a long way....
