I am thinking a lot about your words... and all I see is that this country continues to ‘kick the bucket’, taking with it the patience and even the dignity of its people. It's beyond me that all the time they want to blame it on external factors, pressures and blockages, but here there has always been a lot of mental blockage and competitiveness. And also a lot of miserable people who live comfortably at the expense of the misfortune of others. It has always been like that. They did the same to me as they did to you on the subject of travel and self-improvement. But how absurd that in order to be able to travel one has to depend on someone's permission. People from abroad criticize us because "we do nothing" to improve our situation...at least those who are not Cubans are unaware of the level of control under which we live...but those who lived know how it works and now it is easy for them to tell you to the one left behind: fight. It makes me laugh after all.
In short, as you say, this is a mental and physical prison... for everyone. We will continue to lengthen as time does inside a black hole.
