Demanding people aren't my favourite people; the world is full of them. Many, I find, are vegan or gluten intolerant curiously. 🤪
They are the sensitive ones, i.e., where are my kid gloves scenario and if I can't find them, oh well...
I'm allergic to wheat but people keep telling me I'm celiac, despite the fact I've confirmed that's not the case. I think the whole gluten free thing became quite a trend here for awhile. People seemed to think it means less calories and more healthy, neither of which is accurate.
I don't recall people being so demanding years ago. I'm more of the mindset to be grateful for what is given, offered, etc., so I understand this "demand" thing.

Being gluten intolerant seems to be a fashion accessory these days. I get it, people have reactions to certain things, feel better if they don't have them...Fine, just don't eat it...Don't make a song and dance about it. I just see it as a bid for validation. And vegans? I've been called disgusting by them whilst eating some meat product or other. Fine, you don't like meat...Doesn't mean you have to denigrate others for eating it. Oh, one of those people...The screaming-vegan-banshee, then gets into her Beemer with leather seats and drives off. Hmm.
People used to be simpler back in the good old days. Now? I struggle to find relevance or interest in most.
And nope, I'm not one who wants privilege, I'm happy to earn what I have, including relationships.
The vegan-rant thing confounds me; that someone could be so emotionally invested in what someone else eats...And then wears leather boots? Lol.
People are funny creatures and I guess are able to act or be as they choose, fair enough. Just like I'm free to choose who I give my time and effort to. There's remarkably few. Those that get me, meaning those I give the real me to, friendship, get it all.
Most people are nutbags I guess, myself included. I don't mind, keeps it interesting and like you say, provides a laugh or two.
