There are also those who aren't competitive at all, but I often get the sense that it is less that they don't care, and more that they care too much about what others think, or of their own failure, that they don't want to take the risk of losing. Choosing not to compete due to fear of loss, tends not to end up getting much of what is wanted either.
Sorry to disappoint but I am very non-competitive and legitimately do not care in the slightest XD
I don't know if that's a brain glitch as I also do not care in the slightest about a number of things other people almost literally scream at me that I absolutely have to care about because they're terribly important, and I just...don't
It does make having a comp class an interesting experience because I talk it up like it's a lot of fun for the kids (because it's a competition they get nervous and I'm like well I can't even care any less let's just go show off and have fun and bonus if you get a medal ay, the only thing I care about is that they're good enough to pass their badge if that's what I put them in for).
The downside was losing interest in games I previously loved (beat em ups, most board and card games of which we have a fun collection of, I only play tabletop rpg and Minecraft now).
Glad you enjoyed your game night (at least it sounds like you did) even if you had to pretend to be super competitive XD
