Wow!, what a great topic for this week. I can't wait to discover all the community favorite songs. I have the feeling this week we are gonna have even more comments!
It is kind of hard for me as most of my favorite songs are in Spanish or Catalan, my mother languages, but there are also many in English, so I will share one of those.
And it has to be The Boss
I remember he came to town when I was 18. He played at FCB stadium. I went with my friends and got early enough to be able to get in the fist lines. It was amazing.
You should post one of your favorite Catalan songs for us to hear. I liked Bruce's Nebraska album, he has a lot of albums, but Nebraska was the first that kind of sort of focused mostly on his voice, and lyrics at least for my ears.
I don't think I have ever heard a Catalan song. I have heard Dutch songs, Japanese songs, some German ones, but no Catalan as far as I know.
Edit:
I should have read farther down, thank you for posting the songs. I liked that first one sometimes understanding the words is not so important, the music and the voice quality set the mood, It was nice of you to provide a translation.
He had a raw voice but one that seemed perfectly suited to reaching down within someone, invoking feelings, or to passing the message along to the listener with passion and emotion. Who could ever forget The Boss. It's a great choice for the topic, and I'm glad someone threw a classic Springsteen track into the mix. Nice work.
Also, I urge you to put a Catalan or Spanish song in here too - We're here to celebrate music from around the world, hive's groove, and because we're from around the world it makes sense that the music will be too. Feel free o do so @santigs.

tokens. What are your favorite songs in Spanish?
Hard question, there are tons of bands I like, but I will share one song with you from Coque Malla.
Wow. I like that, and no doubt the audience did too. I have just exactly enough Spanish to get good and confused so I just listened to the music. It was wonderful.
It is Catalan, that is the reason it probably confused you 😂
Happy to hear you liked The Boss and this one.
Great choices. Of course the boss, but I really liked the other, too. And loved the audience standing during the performance. Really cool.
hahahahahaha I'm laughing very hard with this message, i enjoyed it too, didn't know this band.
I loved it! Where are they from? I´m guessing Spain.
Yes, they are Spaniards
ok... I just learned how to say ¨españoles ¨ in english hahahahah i would have said it like ¨spanish people¨ or something without searching too much.
I learned that loooong ago, when I was an exchange student in Colorado. :)
I see, sounds like it was a good experience, i would like to go myself to Barcelona to do a master.
That was pretty dang good, I liked it, I did recognize one phrase, (me casa), but that did not matter, the tune and speed, and music and the audience all made it a very pleasant listen.
Also Tanca els ulls - Close your eyes, from Txarango was simply fantastic.
Glad you liked it!
I did, and it was very nice to hear several other songs in for me foreign languages. it is not something that ever came up when i would listen to music on youtube, they just never offered foreign language songs as a recommendation. So it was good to hear and quite pleasing.
He has such a distinctive voice. I like it when you know who is singing, whereas often these days, they all tend to sound the same - probably all the autotune.
Maybe my favorite Boss track. That or Born to Run because of motorcycles :) This is just pure Springsteen.
Thank you. I really do appreciate it.
Born to run...Yep, I'm with you there, although I like Born in the USA also. Do you listen to any Steve Earle? He's a little Springsteenesque. I think you either have, or do...I've got an Steve Earle playlist. Not an every week player, but now and then I throw it on.
I love Steve Earle. My last GF (who was psychotic it turns out) turned me on to Steve Earle and I liked him alot. Sometimes today when I listen to Steve Earle I get a bad taste in my mouth that has nothing to do with Mr. Earle :)
I figured you would...At least that psychotic ex had one benefit huh? Put you into Steve Earle...Hopefully your flashbacks aren't too bad though.
That was, quite literally, the wildest situation I've ever been involved in. If I may be frank (I always am) the woman would fight or fuck at the drop of a hat. Even if she dropped it.
Her musical tastes were exquisite. Steve Earle was only one of them. She was a seriously good guitar player and quite a good singer. A just plain lot of nights I went to sleep to the sound of her guitar. With apology to Mr. Dickens "It was the best of times. It was the worst of times."
Far as I know she's doing time. The next guy after me died in her arms, and the prosecutor thought it wasn't entirely accidental. She inherited his estate...
Seems like you dodged a bullet...I didn't see the last paragraph coming; A perfectly gentle way of saying it how it is.
I have traveled a long strange path. It's been a lot of fun, to be honest. Even most of the bad shit has been after I was through it.
Never. Ever. Be worth more to somebody dead than alive. :)
Wow! The song is awesome I really like the way it started
