Some chicken rice that's near where I live; this is actually one of my favorite chicken rice shops. This could also be featured in my next eating-out post.
If you know me, you know that I love food. I started an eating-out community and I've been sharing my adventures eating out there. It's also nice to see some people post there as well! I think throughout my time posting on Hive, I've never really shared about food that I hate. I feel hate is a bit strong. I don't feel like I hate any food; I'd simply consider it food that I’d rather not eat. I guess you could say there are some food that I dislike.
When I was growing up, there was a fair amount of food I disliked. I wasn't the biggest fan of vegetables and I honestly didn't like fruits either. Despite this, my mom still cooked vegetables and gave me fruits to eat because she wanted me to have a healthy diet. I ate whatever food my mom cooked for me because that's how I grew up and it was only the right thing to do as there are some people out there that can't even eat at all.
The only vegetables that I liked was spinach (cooked stir fry with garlic). Out of all the vegetables though, there was one that I feared the most when I was a kid. It was purple and it did not taste good at all. There are some people that love it but I strongly disliked it and even today I don't really like it. Can you guess it? It's none other than the dreaded eggplant and let me tell you it doesn't taste like an egg at all. To eat this, I would have to wash it down with water. Washing food down with water was the ultimate hack I had when I was a kid. Basically the idea, was to get the disliked food down the throat using the water without having to bite hence I wouldn't really have to taste it at all.
What about you, what food do you dislike or hate? What trick did you use to eat it? Perhaps you ate the food with chocolate or you washed it down with water like me? Do share your hacks in the comments below!

Hello!!!
I think I agree with you, I never liked the eggplant as my grandmother prepared it, she made it fried, but I did not like the taste either.
But, as an adult a lady of Russian origin explained to me how to prepare it as a mixture of vegetables with spices, and my friend: It's wonderful.
It also happened to me with okra, I found it slimy and tasteless, but after other recipes, the change in taste and texture are quite noticeable.
So I don't doubt that you could change your mind if you just change the recipe.
hmmm I'm not sure. I've tried a fair share. Maybe it's just not mean for me? or maybe just add a lot of sweet then it becomes ok LOL
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Now : Imagine the eggplant well mixed with plenty of white onion, roasted sweet red peppers, sautéed with two or three cloves of garlic, and put to cook with some good beef or poultry broth.
You will eat even the scrapes.
o.o I'm not too sure about that. Maybe I will go eat something else that is better :P hmmm
Ok....you'll never be as strong as Popeye...🧟♀️
🤣🤣
o.o popeye eat spinach not eggplant ;p
You are too smart @shawnnft

I recently saw a trend in Shopee Vids on how to grill and brinjal 🍆 or eggplant with some really need spices and garlic, maybe should give that a try.
O.O no no eggplant isn't good no matter how its made lol at least for me
Hahaha. Is it because of its mushy tasteless texture?

Hahaha. But vege are something you gotta eat once a while, or stay with cucumbers, tau geh, lettuce even.
Then again some people said as seasons of age changes, so is the tastebuds
