You are so right in this case: a glaring instance of irresponsibility. One wonders how this foolish hunter survived to adulthood with such nonsensical beliefs. On a promise you base a life? The lives of your family?

This is replacing reality with fantasy. That is the realm of children, not adults. Well-told, sad story.
