“Your government doesn't get to define who you 'really' are.”
This is a key concept we must not forget. Governments do not own us. We are not the ID numbers assigned to us. Crypto is a tool that can help us escape the broken economic structures and authoritarian hierarchies imposed upon us by the politics of the past.
I write this in June. 'Pride Month' is in full swing, and the LGBTQ etc. community demands to be freed from what they see as the shackles of societal demands regarding biological sex and heteronormativity.
In a way, I see a parallel for us in the crypto community. We need to stop begging for permission and seeking ways to comply. The current system is broken beyond repair, and we are in the process of building something better with or without their permission.
I also see a significant contrast, too, though. The gay rights movement got "marriage equality" by demanding equal access to government marriage licenses. Similarly, many in the crypto sphere want "legitimacy" through government recognition, regulation, and taxation. Begging for permission isn't progress toward liberty, though. Not for voluntary relationships, and not for voluntary market exchanges.

Even though I do not understand a lot about crypto, I think it should be considered just like the currency that we have always had, or get rid of paper money altogether. Come to think of it they have pretty much already done that, how many people carry cash like they used to? As for Gay rights, it was long overdue. The government should not tell you who you should or shouldn't love. But they do many things that they should not do.
I use cash frequently. I like cash anonymity even more than crypto anonymity for local purchases.
Government funny money is kinda crap, but silver trade is still a viable option in the liberty community too.
By silver trade, do you mean coins or real silver? You are the only person that I know who uses cash, we hardly ever have cash on us.
I mean silver ounce rounds or 90% silver dimes and quarters from 1964 and earlier.
My Dad used to collect those, he always had me watching for them also silver certificate dollars
