The year 2021 was a great year for the whole community, we all experienced some major changes, amongst which is gods unchained fully operating on Immutable X, thereby cutting down the cost on gas fees which might have been in millions of dollars. Also in the year 2021 the $Gods token was launched and from the report published by the Gods Unchained team there are over 13 million Gods unchained NFTs in the world, with over 65,000 unique assets holder and also over over $25M worth of Gods Unchained assets were traded between users on Immutable X. Also there was major increase in the number of gameplay and with all these mighty achievements one can only imagine that the year 2022 would experience much more growth, so what's next?
The start of a new year is always a good time to revisit things with a fresh perspective and below are some of the few exciting things the team is currently working on getting live:
$GODS staking
There will be distribution of staking rewards from the Staking Rewards Pool to users who qualify as active stakers. These rewards consist of $GODS tokens funnelled in from acquisition actions made in the Gods Unchained store and the Forge. From as early as next week, tokens will begin seeding from those already spent in The Forge to the staking rewards pool so that when the staking goes live later in the year, the rewards pool will be stocked and ready.
Rewards will be claimable by all users who qualify at regular 7 day intervals, and will provide an amount of $GODS to each user proportional to the lowest amount held in their Immutable X account.
$GODS governance
$GODS token holders will be able to vote on token-related proposals via decentralized governance and this Proposals will include topics such as:
- How to allocate token reserves
- Community and Ecosystem Fund Distribution
- Changes in $GODS token supply
- Sponsorship or grant recipients
Shine Fusing
To learn about fusing kindly use this Link Currently players have the power to change their cards from Core cards to Meteorite by fusing two similar cards. The gods unchained team is currently working on fusing beyond Meteorite quality and into higher tiers.
Purchasing with $GODS
The team is currently working on ways to make the $Gods token more useful, users will soon have the ability to settle 20% of all primary sales and 20% of secondary trading fees using $GODS thereby saving some Eth. Although this will be available as an option, menaing you can decide to use Eth or not. This is quite exciting as it not only ties $GODS to the heart of the economy, but also ensures $GODS moves sustainably through it, also after a primary sale or secondary trading fee is actioned, the $GODS tokens will be moved to the staking rewards pool (mentioned above) where they will be distributed to all users that qualify as being active stakers.
Daily Play to Earn systems
Soon there will be a live a system which rewards players with $GODS daily, and you get to earn additional points if you are using all Meteorite cards, and higher with shine cards. Thus keeping both Core trading and fusing relevant.
Mobile release
An internal team has been set up, to design and build this, with the first touchstone being to get a playable alpha out in 2022. The goal/hope is to deliver the first access to players in the first half of next year, with a wider Alpha sometime in the second half of the year.
Expanding the game
New expansions are in the works, alongside new game functionalities, items and modes. To tie these developments all together, the team is also hard at work improving the player onboarding experience. This will make it easier for anyone and everyone to join Gods Unchained and get playing.
I'm so excited with the works going on underground and I honestly can't wait for all to be achieved but in the main time, heading back to the arena, so stay in the know and enjoy the ride.
