RE: Why should you get more upvotes?

in Ask the Hive2 years ago (edited)

Oh, no please... No more upvotes ^^

Even if quality is subjective, there’s still a common minimum to get to the point of objective quality. Will not talk about my own post practice, but one thing that I’m often seeing is people, new users most of the time, posting 2 or 3 times a day... for sure this is mostly counterproductive as the global time spent creating is divided...

Interesting research, I will look forward to see the participation under your post :)

Have a pleasant Sunday !

Yeah less is definitely more, especially when you can spend a lot more time on specific posts instead and then socialize and network to get people to consume them. That's also something I like to look at when curating content, how much perceivable consumers you get on average. This of course is a bit of an exception towards newcomers and more for those who've been around a while but it also speaks about your networking if you dish out good content, get a lot of votes but no one's there to consume them it usually means you're lacking in the networking aspects and may be getting a bit too overrewarded.

To be honest, I know that I don't spend enough time networking... With the time to capture the images, possible retouching and the composition/writing of the article, I could hardly spend more time. One of the ideas I mentioned in my first comment could be: share less and visit more, but I think my introverted side often gets the upper hand ^^
