RE: What's something new you doing on Hive?

in Ask the Hive2 days ago

Yes, i have.

Started a new service/ account, Token.burn for accumulating and burning more than one HE token.

To contribute anyone can add token.burn as beneficiary to their post and share their author rewards. After 7 days when the post is paid out, token.burn will also get paid. Once in a week/month, the accumulated tokens will be burned.

Difference between token.burn and null (using as beneficiary)

  • If you use null, everything including Hive and HBD will be burned. Whereas, token.burn will use that Hive & HBD to buy more HE tokens and burn them.
  • Tokens like Bee, BHHO etc can be sold in the market and other HE tokens can be bought and burned.

As of now, i have set token.burn as 5% beneficiary to all my posts, except actift, as IOS app doesn't have an option to set beneficiaries.

Yes, its an experiment, which has potential, if everyone contributes.

Please share your thoughts on this, thanks

As long as they're not incentivized to add that account as beneficiary with votes but doing it for the idea it sounds fine to me.

i don't recommend or give incentives, it's 100% voluntary.
