RE: Why should you get more upvotes?

in Ask the Hive2 years ago

Because I'm helping the witnesses be relevant by adding textual transactions to the chain for them to verify :)

So typically, I contribute to the health of the chain with my transactions(quite an important job by the way), other than that, why anyone should receive a vote is solely the curator's choice.

With the increase in dapps and custom json transactions I think that just adding text transactions in and of itself isn't going to be the most important thing witnesses care about long term. :P

Well, we were on the topic of "content" and a huge piece of hive inflation goes to content creators and that which I just stated is the part all users posting text to the chain play.

Notwithstanding, you have a point and like I said, the reason for getting a vote is really up to the curators.

Yeah but the curators need to have some "demands" if you will, so we can start moving into more deserving votes of people who have demand of consumption themselves. This also creates another underlying value for Hive earned as it's not just being given out easily to anyone but to those who put effort to network and be consumed by others and can drive traffic to their posts on average more.
