RE: What’s the weirdest thing a guest has done at your house?

in Ask the Hive5 years ago

Oh well, I did write a comment and somehow it got lost because I lost my internet connection briefly. Lol.

Thanks for your heart warming comments and support for my friend, Beckie. I appreciate the help. And yeah, I've been trying to show her the ropes on here for a while now, but it's been pretty hard because we're far apart in different cities now. Perhaps video tutorials would have helped but I guess I've not really found the time. Plus, the cost of internet subscription for lengthy videos is almost a luxury here.

I'm so sorry you had to experience that with your guest. Some guests can be really sweet and understanding, you'd want them around anytime. While some others are simply used to overstepping boundaries and being unappreciative of good deeds.

I didn't finish my story. I'd narrated what happened to my roommate and he tried to talk to him about it after some days. Then he came to me to apologize and I thought it was quite funny because I actually didn't take it to mind.

But perhaps what was worrisome about it all was how he didn't know he'd done something really weird and inappropriate until someone had to talk to him about it.

You'd wonder how many people are like that. And if there are, how many of them are approachable like my neighbour.

Oh, I hate it when that happens. Data is also very expensive in South Africa, so video is something I say away from. Besides it really liking being in front of the camera.

I am glad things worked out with your neighbour. Sometimes it is just a case of pointing things out. And in your instance someone with whom you had a relationship because he's next door. Our case was a paying guest. She left an awful review. What she said was quite the opposite of the note she left. Anyway, at least on Airbnb one has right of reply!

Glad to have been able to help. I am sure @beckie96830 will find her way. Especially now she's part of some very supportive communities.

I hope you are all staying safe at this weird time.

Be well.

Data is also very expensive in Nigeria in all networks regardless we have manage.
