It is a beautiful place! I like it a lot, but there are some challenges as well. The main thrust might be something that Mr. Daza observed, the benefit of this property is not really the monthly income, as there isn't much or any left after admin and maintenance, but plusvalía, something like equity growth.
If we can capture a serious return on our investment now, at a time when things are cheap, I am inclined to take it (always take profits has been my motto).
Of course I was also thinking about visitors, but no one has visited yet! So this 'nice to have' doesn't seem to be providing much value to holders at this point.
I am interested in feedback, we have time to opine, and even more so on the question of what we would do with 'the money'. Is having somewhere to stay important? I have my eye on another underpriced property that would fit this bill. We can build cabins on other land we own or in association with someone, we can buy some HIVE (as a marketing expense of course) and ride it up and pay something like 'divs' in the interim.
What would you do?
Hmmm.
I don't have enough information, to make a well-informed comment. I can comment a little on this:
While your global "shareholders" may never actually come there to visit, it sounds like there is local interest in staying there, right? As I am sure you are well aware, places to stay, e.g. AirBNB or VRBO, are big here in the US, for vacationers.
It is always a supply and demand analysis I would think. As you mention a Canadian family nearby, I would assume whether local or further away, there is at least some demand? That would be big for me, if I were more personally involved - demand driving the cashflow to sustain continued ownership costs at a minimum, then working toward an income stream that is more or less consistent ...
