I stepped on the scale this morning after taking a shower.
It looks like I have been making progress. I'm at 160.2lbs now. I'm right outside of the recommended range set by the CDC.
I hope to reach 155lbs at some point. The vast majority of my exercise routine is strength training. So, I wouldn't be surprised if I could no longer push my weight down any further.
Things I have noticed after losing some weight:
- I feel like I have more energy.
- There is less tension on my knees
- My physique has improved.
- The sciatica symptoms lessened and have been easier to manage with stretches and whatnot.
I still haven't put together a regular keto diet. The CDC still attaches its warning about obesity and its relations to Covid. I'm not even going to start on the disparity part. It's beyond the scope of this post.
Given the fear and conflicts surrounding Covid, I'm surprised not as many people are trying to become healthier. People-watching in the breakroom has shown me that most employees are in poor health. Everyone looked obese and depressed. The pandemic had its toll on people's morale.
I'm doing this for myself because it's part of my self-improvement project. Being healthier is part of it. What's the end goal? Part of me fancies looking like Mishima Heihachi in my old age.

Just for kicks and giggles.
I am pretty lucky that I was able to continue working out through Covid. I never got it and I just kept doing the same thing I always do. I don't think I have added extra weight like some people did during the lock down.
That's pretty good!
I definitely let myself go during the pandemic.
That things seems off, I would say it is stupid. You are basically my height and weigh only 15kg (30 pounds ish) more than me, I would say I am definitely on the skinny side so unless you have no muscle you are a healthy weight. Probably should just do a good weight routine for a month if you don't gym then can do standard calisthenics at home then go get all the babes so they can touch your abs.
Diets are also kinda icky, sure small changes that don't taste crap or are a hassle go for it but ideally you want it to be no effort, since the effort must go into your general fitness. At least you get plenty cardio in the lab and if not just never use a chair. I do that at work... well cause i hate to get up for people they might think I respect them. that diff though. !PIZZA !LOLZ
Maybe instead of keto try intermittent fasting or just straight up one meal a day, basically that mine, one meal and coffee like a mofo haha. Like I said I am skinny haha so it truth.
At some point, the weight will probably be less relevant.
It has been about a month since I started the drastic change. So, I guess we shall see where I stand another month from now as I continue on the current routine.
Yeah I re-read again , I missed the whole "progress" part, nah then that pretty solid and month in so good work. Will ask @trumpman to send you some groupies, he knows them all.

Chocolate butter milk donuts are heavy. Lifting them is good exercise while drinking coffee.
:P
I can’t drink and work out at the same time. Only before and after. Sometimes, during a quick break.
Me too, all that liquid bouncing around inside my belly gives me a cramp.
Hi @enforcer48 , I think that the virus has taken its toll on many people, the confinement had an impact on the physical and worse on the minds of people, depression, mood problems, etc. However, it is enough to have tenacity, want to do things and it is achieved, no matter how long it took, if you want to lose weight you will do it, my advice, don't stress, calm down, don't look in the mirror, don't ask anyone, clothes will tell you if you lose weight or not, I had this problem a lot years, and many years to lose weight, but I did it, if you want it, you will
Thanks for sharing your experience.
I think I will get there, in time.
