It's a great idea. It's very creative and fun to draw on receipts. It's like going back to the days when you used to draw on the back of your notebooks.

i draw on old books at times because i love how the script looks behind the art

It's also a good idea, and apart from the letters, the yellow leaves also give it that classic aesthetic.
