A strange new rhino beetle has been discovered near Fukushima in Japan. Here is a ballpoint pen drawing for this #scifisaturday

It has strange mutations that make it quite durable and powerful.

Collectors want to catch a live one to battle them against regular rhino beetles in various beetle tournaments around the country.

Finally a quick bug collector has caught one mid-air while in flight.

He had to wear lead clothing to handle the radioactive beetle. Surely this guy will win him some money in the beetle wrestling tournaments.

These sharp legs can kick through chitin like a hot knife through butter. No beetle will ever survive this contestant.

In pure defense mode a couple large vent holes can release toxic gas to incapacitate any living thing within three meters.

At the tournament everyone is betting on this guy to win.

A laser light show and techno music blasts as the beetle enters the arena.

His contestant hides behind a branch in fear. The betting markets go wild, they want to see some beetle guts flying.

Just as they ring the bell to fight the beetle spreads its wings and flies away at mach speeds to the Philippines to live on an abandoned island. Little did they know this radioactive beetle hates violence. Perhaps in a few generations this beetle will produce offspring that is less radioactive and more violent. We will never know as the Philippines don't have beetle tournaments.

Oh, I like this. Such a beautiful and delicate creation. You should really try this!

Thanks :-) trying to do some less abstract doodles this year.

amazing :)

Thanks, now I have to figure out what to draw next... Maybe a reptile of some kind...

This is awesome !! I can't imagine the beautiful effect this piece will put on a shirt

Maybe print it in silver on a black shirt for a shiny effect.

Absolutely !! You have a good eye for arts and design
