But the durability and craftsmanship seems to point to a more elaborate use for this widget.

Now mathematicians are studying the device and realize there are all sorts of complex calculus equations involved in the curves of the object.

After an AI algorithm analyzes the device it comes to the conclusion that you should definitely buy the latest Taylor Swift album. So all the mathematicians ran out to buy her latest record leaving the object behind.

As they were gone it suddenly opened a portal into a different dimension and disappeared. It turns out this is a time traveling drone that got trapped in the Greek era due to a mudslide and now it can continue its journey through time and space thanks to the Archaeologists freeing it.
