Hello everyone, I'm Ace! I wanted my first post on Hive to be an introduction of myself, my plans, and what I've learned already in the short time I've known about Hive. About a month ago a friend told me about Splinterlands, and explained that you can actually get real rewards just for playing the game. He explained that there is an entire economy built around the game, and it is all housed on the Hive Blockchain. Now, this is the same friend who told me 10 years ago all about Bitcoin and how it was this new cool thing. 10 years ago I told him that Bitcoin sounded so sketchy and that an online currency was too intangible, and so I convinced him not to buy into Bitcoin. Instead, I probably should have listened to him about Bitcoin, or at least researched it some from a technical perspective before just dismissing it entirely. But the past is the past, and he's only a little bit bitter about the millions that could have been made from the initial $900 he wanted to put in 10 years ago. Anyway, this post isn't about Bitcoin, it's about the fact that ever since that day, I never gave myself the opportunity to really learn about what a Blockchain is, and how cryptocurrencies really work. Well this time when he told me about it, I listened, and when he asked if I wanted to work together with him, I agreed. So I've spent the last month working with my friend and learning about the Blockchain both through his interactions and by reading what all documentation I could find online, and now after about a month, I feel comfortable enough to really dive in on my own!
Now I'm going to talk about myself, which I really don't do very often. I've always had a passion for technology and music. I've played drums and piano since I was around 10 and really enjoy jazz music. As for technology, I built my own computer at around age 12 and made a career out of tech since I was 17 through a great opportunity that I was lucky to get. The category of technology I am most passionate about is fullstack web development, with the biggest emphasis on backend software development. I have engaged in many projects ranging from short and sweet to complex and lengthy, and at this point have the knowledge and confidence to be able to take on any web project. Personally, I also really enjoy gardening, hiking, swimming, and fishing, and I care a lot about nature and sustainability! I engage in life with a mindset of helpfulness, positivity, hope, and grace, and always want to utilize any knowledge, talent, or ability that I have to assist others, both personally and professionally. I take great enjoyment out of solving problems by creating systems, and enjoy learning about every aspect of the process or business in order to create systems that reflect the root issues and provide pathways to relieve them.
I'm very excited to see what I can create using the Hive Blockchain and am full of ideas about it's use cases and potential application. It's only been a month, but I feel like I am going to be able to help create something really special on Hive! In addition, I want to engage with the community every step of the way and bolster good relationships with peers, and I want to create posts that help to inform and assist others with the plans they have. Some of my ideas are just for fun, and others I think could really help people, and it's really exciting to feel comfortable enough with a platform to be able to do both!
Thank you so much for reading my introduction, hopefully it provides a little bit of insight into my personality! I plan on creating more posts periodically to keep everyone informed about my plans and projects, and I'm really looking forward to being able to engage with everyone else on the platform!

Welcome to Hive! Congrats on being able to turn your love for tech into a career.
Splinterlands is great, but that is just the beginning of all the cool things that you can do on Hive. So much more to come too. I can only imagine the ideas you already have brewing in your mind.
I don't play piano, but I love this game called Pianista. Classical music is awesome, my favorite thing listen to while I'm being productive at my desktop.
Thank you so much! Yes today I've actually been learning a lot more about Hive itself and things like curation and communities! I really enjoy classical music as well, but unfortunately my hands are actually too small to really play it very well on piano! My grandmother is the one who first introduced playing piano to me, and the first song she taught me was Für Elise. I'm gonna check out Pianista so that I can play it in my free time, it sounds fun!
I couldn't ever figure out the piano either. My mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother played and the first song I ever heard my mom talk about was Für Elise. How ironic, must be popular.
Here is a video/post about Pianista I made the other day if you haven't already seen it. The game is fantastic. Free to play on mobile and a paid version on Switch. Both are fantastic.

I'm watching it now, the game looks pretty tough but also fun and relaxing! I'll download it for mobile because I don't have a switch, but if I like it a lot then I might just have to convince my friend to let me buy it and borrow her switch every now and again, because I'm a little bit worried about having to hit all of those notes just on my tiny phone!
The lower difficulties are not nearly as bad and still fun. The Mobile version should do you just fine. My Switch is pretty dusty, I spend most of my gaming time on PS5 these days.
Hello and welcome! I would love to chat with you about a project I'm looking to do concerning using Wordpress to syndicate to Hive and LBRY. If that is interesting to you, I would love to invite you to our Discord.
Thank you! Yes, I would enjoy a chat about the project and I would like to be involved in the project to use Wordpress to syndicate to HIVE to LBRY, please send the discord invite/link! PHP is my native language for web development and it is also the back-end language for Wordpress.
Excellent! https://discord.gg/gzS88Un8
