RE: A lucid glimpse into the future

Yo. Didn't know you were experienced in the lucid dreaming realm; I have a somewhat similar story to you. When in college got really into it, and had some of the most insane adventures imaginable — I mean, 10x more vivid and intense than anything that happens in "real life" aka waking life... some being literal subjective months-or-years long while you're in the experience.

The trajectory I remember was first learning to know I was dreaming and not waking up, then learning how to control flight without moving too rapidly into parts of the dreamworld that were not yet rendered... all strange void and pixellated forms, which would usually abort the experience.

Once mastered flying and moving, then learned to control the elements i.e. fire, ice, storms, lighting; ability to morph other entities and structures into other things at will, etc. The landscapes I explored were just... insane. I remember flying over expansive planets and going through different biomes, exploring weird cities with impossible geometries, and lots of other stuff that's so bizarre I won't mention right now lol.

What happened for me is that the experiences became so unimaginably real that I would get depressed to be in "normal life" — I mean, in my dreams, all my friends were there, I could literally manifest anything with mind alone, and then you wake up and have to put on your shoes slowly, manually, painstakingly...

Anyway, I ended up deciding to consciously try to not lucid dream anymore as it began to disturb me. I will always maintain that lucid vs. nonlucid is not a black-or-white thing; there are depths and degrees of lucidity. I still tend to become quite lucid when I get to have a really long, deep sleep — but don't try to intensify it or remember them, specifically.

Still, I occasionally have experiences of a stunning level of lucidity, and when the memories of them do linger, they are fairly impossible to forget! Anyway, I thought it was cool that you wrote about this one. Wonder how long it will be until we have those transparent, super-hi-tech devices you used there? And Ethereum at #1? Too bad you didn't spot where HIVE might end up... ;) Guess we'll have to wait and see!

damn lol, you were deeper than I was

tell me about it, thankfully I stopped due to other circumstances of breaking my sleep during the day habit and it didn't happen as much during regular nighttime sleep.

Yeah, especially when you haven't had the pleasure for some time it got me really confused. The whole thing with not seeing my phone felt surreal, cause I could feel it and see everything else (so it wasn't my eyesight) so I really thought I was losing it since I was so sure I was awake.
