RE: Future POSH idea: being rewarded for discussing/mentioning Hive on #web2

in OCD2 years ago

Why more vapor tokens that get further away from Hive?

Why not actually gift HIVE to people that get convinced by the posh initiative?

POSH is really just a chorus of already committed hive users playing a game of points scoring.

An outsider receives no benefit. They need to at the least get some Hive. Or delegation to participate in HIVE to then give them reason to listen to the sales pitch.

Then you could incentivize buy pressure because a new user that gets lured by posh and actually buys hive at the same time then receives a super delegation for a set period... if that same user invites x amount of new users they all get a boost delegation for x amount of time.

That's network effect.

Just "rewarding" sharing with a token that has no value and not rewarding those that are convinced by the shilling is a go no where initiative.

Sort:

The token has value and will continue to be guaranteed to have value for anyone wanting to trade it back to Hive, which many do.

Delegations for new users is something we offer (outside of POSH) for our ocd onboarding program but you have to be careful there as people will attempt to abuse it with fake accounts and fake referrals, that's why our onboarders are vetted and experienced hive users with "something to lose" if they're found abusing it.

Anyway, I mentioned why I think it should be a different token compared to just building it onto POSH. Having said that it's hard to take a comment serious when it is created by someone this new on the chain about something as complicated as the posh incentivization program to not just share hive links onto twitter but also grow your presence there so your shares become more effective over time.

The goal is not to lure people in to buy hive, it's enough they create an account and become active, buying is for anyone who can afford and wants to later when they understand what Hive is and does well enough.

commented with the wrong account by accident.
