I guess I'm not in a position to answer your question as I haven't been a parent yet or a mother, but for me. I think the first who should understand the teenager are the parents. They should be the first one to support their kids. Of course, it is only understandable for them to get mad but I hope it will not come to the point that the teenager would want to quit her life.
