i am slowly doing the same! also as someone who haven't transferred almost nothing i yesterday experimented on some steem to hive transfer using steem engine. below there is a post from @libertycrypto27 that explains step by step how to do it

It was quite easy to be honest but it's for steem to hive, you can't change your sbd there, so i need to find a way for that as well (i think bittrex i have no clue). Glad you are getting out of steemit!
