Although I am already active on Hive for some time now I have now left Steem definitive. With that I mean that I am powering down my SP and transferred my liquid steem to Hive. Thanks to @meesterboom (I haven't transferred anything before from the platform so it's all new for me) I managed to send the newly bought hive to my acocunt (Steem -> BTC -> Hive). I powered up the most so my upvotes for my friends are a cent more (double the worth lol).
So when my powerdown on Steem is finished all will be transferred to Hive and we are all set.
My Steem delegations are removed and I added some additional delegation to @ocd for this moment. They're doing a great job !!.
So Hive it is !!!!

Good to hear it. I think you are better off with more Hive Power and Steem is dying anyway. Very little worth reading there now as the core community all left.

I think too, was a bit (for me) of a puzzle to transfer etc. But it turned out ok. Let's built Sky Hive :)
We have been losing some ways to sell Steem as the exchanges don't want to run a dodgy wallet. Best to get it out as soon as possible.

i am slowly doing the same! also as someone who haven't transferred almost nothing i yesterday experimented on some steem to hive transfer using steem engine. below there is a post from @libertycrypto27 that explains step by step how to do it

It was quite easy to be honest but it's for steem to hive, you can't change your sbd there, so i need to find a way for that as well (i think bittrex i have no clue). Glad you are getting out of steemit!

I did this from the start pretty much. Got about 3 weeks left of powerdown and I'm done.
Yeah, I started to power down Steem a few weeks ago then got caught on some other things so I stopped, the only thing Im doing on Steem now is Actifit posts because it seems too happen automatically and replying to any comments.
Im probably going to use the Steem proceeds for small cap cryptos that are close to my heart, but some will make its way to Hive for sure.
Steem is now a centralized and empty container ...

I am also converting all my STEEMs to HIVE.
To convert SBD you can also use SteemPeak and in that case you should do SBD-STEEM-BTC-HIVE. Perhaps the most convenient method is to use an exchange that has SBD listed.
There are other alternative ways to use SBD. For example, I use them to buy cards or DEC for the Splinterlands game.
