RE: Engagement: Putting yourself in the picture

I'm pretty sure it's y'all with the funny accent...But for the sake of good-relations let's just say it's both of us. Besides, when compared to Americans, our accents are to be considered normal.

You know I'm just kidding right?

Hahahahahaha! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Yeah, totally mate. It's all just for fun. I do so love humor and a bit of banter.

You have a lot of Saffers down unda anyhow.

I am not a huge sports fanatic, but there is that constant Tri-nations rivalry. Some of the best rugby in the world in found in South Africa, Australia and New Zealand. I don't often watch games, but when i do... it's the finals of the World Cup. 🤣🤣

I have a Saffer here at my work. He's from Oudtshoorn. A legit dude who makes his own biltong (so I stay friends with him). Lol.

I know a few Saffers here actually, all good folk.

I watch a bit of rugby but am not fanatical. But yeah, when those three nations clash it's like WW3. It's a good rivalry. And speaking of accents...The NZ accent...WTF! 😁

🤣 Oudtshoorn is legit ostrich biltong country there.

I am actually quite proficient in making biltong myself. I used to do it for a living. Like... kilos and kilos of the stuff. Production style.

Not anymore, I do refrigeration and health and safety now for an HVACR company.

I might build a biltong drier in the new place though. Hmmmm #goals.

I know @clairemobey is looking forward to me making biltong at home. Hehehe.

But @galenkp, do your Saffer buddies invite you over for a decent Braai or perhaps a Potjie?

No braai or potjie's mate...I should put my foot down and insist! Bastards. Lol.

Funny you're in HVACR. I'm in cold-chain logistics myself...The company makes refrigerated trucks, trailers and vans. I'm in management. A new industry for me after 20 years in real estate and other things before that. (I'm 137 so have done a few things).

Ha! You need to insist on the braai/potjie thing.

Right! How about that? What are the chances eh?

Originally they hired me to become a BMS Technician so PC to HVAC stuff, but soon got involved in Project Management and H&S. Went through 2 years of leadership as well and on my way towards qualification.

Careful, I might offer you a job and you'll have to move to the legit place I like to call Australia. 🤔

Oh no! Would that be so terrible? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
