You get returns for yourself but that means you can't' upvote and support others.
I delegate, because I thought it is what you do, but Does that mean that when I am 'upvoting" others content, I actually am not ?

If you have say 10k HP, your full vote is worth around $0.10, but if you delegate 95% out, it reduces your effective VP to 500 HP worth $0.005 only. You can play around with vote values here.
