Personal Growth

It refers to making changes in one's behavior, lifestyle, mindset, and actions. It is the process by which a person grows to reach his or her full potential.
Personal growth is also a process of learning new things and becoming more positive. To grow as a person, you must learn and develop new skills, control your anger, and learn to be a responsible human being. It necessitates a willingness to grow and develop into a more positive person, i.e., a desire to change to greater heights.
We all have bad habits and make mistakes; personal growth assists us in recognizing and making appropriate changes.

Career Growth

It refers to one's professional advancement and is defined by the responsibilities you take on in your career life. This is not the same as career development. Career development is focused on the short term, whereas career growth is concerned with the big picture, or overall progress in one's professional life.

Last Wednesday, after a terrible test in one of our courses, a friend and I had a two-hour discussion about making some personal and career changes. Concerning the test, the lecturer assigned us an area of concentration (AOC) to know where to read and where not to read. The end was regret for us because the man did something completely different from what he told us, and everyone was disappointed and discouraged, waiting for the day to end so we could go to our various homes for Christmas break.

It was then that I had the opportunity to speak with my friend, @the-ghostmac, who appears to be a member of this community as well. Though not a consistent member (the guy is into a lot of things), he is a tech guy, content writer, freelancer, and still a student. The guy noticed my reaction after the test, how sad I was because I hate (every student hates) not performing well in tests or exams, even though I did read a portion of what the lecturer told us to read, but it was all in vain.

My friend asked if I had any resolutions for this year, to which I replied that the only plan I had for this year was to resume school and get good grades, except Hive, who made my year memorable. Then he asked what I wanted to do in 2022, and I told him I wanted to learn new skills, improve the ones I already had (only have a few), and improve my blogging skills.

I am interested in technology and soft skills, which will lead me to learn at least one or two programming languages. I'm also fascinated by electronics (design and construction). All of this, however, is impossible to achieve due to a lack of resources.
He made me realize that to achieve some goals, other things must be done and that the fact that I did not have the money to purchase certain equipment for my tech and electronic skills was not an excuse for not gaining the necessary knowledge and skills.

I am currently a student pursuing a good grade while also attempting to build a professional career in technology. In this day and age, good grades and certificates aren't enough. They're necessary at times, but they're not enough to have a successful career. Acquiring new skills and expanding one's knowledge through experience is critical for career growth.
Nowadays, business owners or companies generally only hire someone with 2-3 years of experience; as a student, where am I supposed to achieve while still in school? It's impossible, so I must begin building my career right away. Adding to my credentials by learning more.

There are numerous paths to take to build the ideal career, and it also depends on the materials available. You don't have to pay for online courses to learn tech skills; there are plenty of free materials and videos to read and watch online."You don't need to have capital before you start designing electronics," my friend said, and I quoted him, "you can engage in the research aspect of it." Many people are willing to invest in research, particularly scientific and technological research.

Career Growth Requirements

  • Set small goals first, and then devise a strategy to achieve them.
  • Make a schedule and read books.
  • Make use of company programs such as Bootcamp (for soft skills), internships, skill training, and so on.
  • Take charge of your career path.
  • Create a solid network of friends and mentors.
  • Acquire top-tier skills in your chosen field.
  • Make a list of what you notice as a lack in the process.
