So I'm currently in college, in a place called Ikorodu which is situated in Lagos state Nigeria. and due to the covid-19 directives today was a free day of no lectures so I decided to head over to an eatery or a restaurant to celebrate my birthday. So this place is called KD'S PLACE and it's situated in first gate, Ikorodu Lagos Nigeria, just close to a hostel where I live. So Kd's place is new and basically started operation during the lockdown and here I'll be showing you the food sold here and how I spent about ₦12000 which amounts to 31$ buying food for four people, including myself that followed me here.
So quickly, I'll get right into it. Here they sell basically anything from Nigerian food to non-Nigerian food. The highlight of this place is the shawarma and the Suya, the local asun dish but then they've got some of the finest meat pie too, however I Only tasted this unofficially some days back but then today I and my friends went for the official jollof rice mixed in the same plate with the native friend rice too. I however opted not to buy a fried and jollof rice because I had eaten earlier that day but my friends ate fried rice and then topped it with roasted chicken which of course was very expensive. I settle for some chilled youghurt only and roasted turkey too which was also expensive too. Here @hiddenblade I'm back to college doing a food review, hope you like some of these foods
The chicken and turkey had a lot of spice and it was well garnished too. One thing about eating out in a place like this is that it has variety of food, from the local rice called "ofada* to the traditional amala and efo or ewedu soup as well. This place sells a whole lot and one thing you'll notice in the pictures is the variety of the meat. Nigerians eat or consumes a lot of meat and this is essentially something that surprises me how we consume a whole lot of meat and how this people how tons of variety of meat that one can spend up to a 100$ on. The meat is shown in the pictures and you can find chicken, beef, cow skin, turkey, goat meat and well some other kind of assorted meat.
shot by me from inside kd's place
So here you have it, Kd's place, overall I like the youghurt, almost no sugar and thicker than anything ever. In the video you can see me sipping the youghurt and eating the turkey. I'm actually a fan of youghurt because I neither take alcohol or gin of any sort and it was totally a lovely experience. The waitress were adorable unlike some places I've visited in Lagos. They were really lively and attended to me quite well. I could have given them a tip but them 31$ is a huge amount of money for an unemployed student as me. You should know that waitresses in Nigeria aren't really great. But then the food was top notch and the servicing was 9/10 for me. If you're anywhere in Lagos ikorodu, Nigeria. You can get to this place to have good food and great servicing.

I have heard little of this Place and this is the closest I have gotten to in terms of views. It looks really nice and the meals looks very quality (and cheap) too. Happy birthday brother!
