I recently discovered the Hive platform and I joined this community with a great joy.At first, it was a very difficult to task to join with InLeo but then I tried using Dbuzz and it was successful. Anyway it is a great pleasure to be here with you and I wish to make more connections with all of you in the #hive community.Let me introduce myself to you.
Introduction
I am Kasun Chamikara Weerakoon and account name is @kasun-weerakoon. I am from #srilanka which is a beautiful country in the Indian ocean. I was born in Kegalle district, Sabaragamuwa province in Sri Lanka. I am 29 years old. I live with my mother, father,brother and sister.
Education
I completed my primary and secondary education from Kegalu Vidyalaya, Kegalle from 2001- 2014. Then I graduated from Faculty of Engineering, University of Sri Jayewardenepura by completing Bachelor of the science of Engineering (B.Sc.Eng.(Hons)) in Mechanical Engineering in 2021.Currently, I am completing my Master in Industrial Automation from University of Moratuwa which I started in 2022.
Work Experience
I worked as an in-plant trainee at Variosystems (Pvt) Ltd.,Sri Lanka, when I was doing my industrial training for my bachelors.I worked there from January 2020 up to November 2020, even though there was a corona outbreak at that time. It was a wonderful experience to work there and I miss it 😭😭 .
After completing my bachelors, I joined as a temporary demonstrator for the Faculty of Technology, Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka in 2022.I had to do laboratory practicals, tutorials and other academic activities.I worked as a temporary demonstrator from January 2022 to October 2022 and then I was promoted as a Temporary Assistant Lecturer in October 2022 since I worked hard.Still, I work as a Temporary Assistant Lecturer and I wish becoming a Lecturer soon 😊 😊. I love teaching students and also learn new things with them.
About Me
When I am talking about my social life, I have gathered many friends and colleagues from my school,university,and working places.I got to know many friends all over Sri Lanka and abroad as well.I really like to enjoy time with them while working and also at the leisure time.When we've got a free time, I like to visit many places with my friends. The best place I have visited with my friends is "Idalgashinna" which is situated in Badulla district in Sri Lanka. In future, I wish to go to abroad and visit places like Italy, Japan and USA.
In leisure time, I would like to watch TV shows and movies in Netflix.My most favorite movie is "Catch Me if you can" which is a beautiful movie about a check fraudster.And my most favorite TV show is "Cobra kai" which is a TV show derived from one of my favorite movie "Karate Kid". Other than watching movies, I like to play games,watch cartoons, help my parents, building up 3D models, learn about crypto trading, building new items, blogging and try out new things.
Sooo...... this is about me and I believe that this is a good introduction about me.
