Hello everyone!
Usually, I am not so serious here and you know me, it’s all coffee fueled posts. However, this time, I want to be serious. I don’t want to gatekeep this community 😀and just as I said I want Hive presence to increase around here. It took a while to get moving since my friend is now living in another province and he has his job as well 😆 at the sametime, I am still adjusting again in this city. But I am continuously working on this in the background and trying to get this going before the year ends.
Why Indonesia
Technically, Hive is not entirely something new in Indonesia; We’ve established a presence with members scattered across various islands in the country. You may have come across some of us. However, there is still room for Hive to grow in this region with more receptiveness in blockchain and untapped market potential as well as government interest in digital innovation – all these present a great opportunity for Hive to increase its visibility and user base.
A large segment of Indonesian have also understood NFT and Crypto trading so this is where Hive could offer an opportunity to leverage their knowledge and enthusiasm for crypto in a way that also supports their creative endeavors and explore various DApps that Hive has.
Indonesia also has several exchanges that listed hive such as Indodax, toko crypto, and Upbit to name a few which shows that Hive has a presence in the country that could increase trust and reduce barriers to entry for potential new users.
Here are some of the on-going projects that I am currently brewing alongside my bestfriend, @silvercrown1. He is a professional writer with extensive background in professional publishing and journalism. Without further adieu, these are the things that I am brewing :
Seminars offline and online on hive targeting professional writers, indie journalists, poets, freelance writers and bloggers in Indonesia, mainly Java for now (the most populous island, where the majority of economic activity is concentrated).
My current partner is @OCD with their onboarding program an @menulisID, a thriving indonesian writing community
I created an account @learntohive or Ruang Belajar Hive (Hive Learning Space) that will provide the Indonesian community with various tutorials, guides and learning resources about Hive blockchain in Bahasa Indonesia.
(Through that account, I aim to provide more education and retention on Hive Blockchain as well as Web3 knowledge for future hive users that have joined the initiative. )
- Future onboarding partnering with @menulisid x @hivebookclub and local bookclub where we invite book lovers to check out Hive and encourage cross cultural literary exchange as well as facilitate Web3 Literacy and Adoption.
At the moment, this is a pilot project to also learn more of receptiveness from people of Blockchain and Hive. I prefer targeted audiences and I hope to expand more with a more diverse audience.

I congratulate you on your excellent work and initiative. If at least two people like you appear in each country, Hive will reach epic proportions.
It's really hard to do it alone and thankfully just like you said,if at least two people exist and willing to talk about hive😁 this space would've been a lot more lively and diverse.

I quite feel you on the "coffee fueled posts", but I think on this one there might be something great in the forming. Hive needs to outreach in more countries and communities and show how it can truly change lives and empower people.
It's definitely need more outreach. I was drawing a comparison with Solana that are doing so well over here. They are relatively new compared this place but scale up faster and people heard their name more than Hive.
I hope there will similar efforts in our country. Hive is still unknown to most of us.
Just as @josiva mentioned, if you have 2 people in your country willing to do anything about, the market will penetrate even further. I hope that your country will have more things like this too. The easiest way is to start with the interest that you know of.
Hive Ph has some meet ups in the past. We need to onboard new users to grow.
Brazil has a strong #hivebr community, and we welcome new members. Whenever possible, we promote the platform at a specific event.

I starting an initiative to retain users and help them grow, hopefully it will be available in the next month or so. It could help your onboarders if they're focused on long term growth on Hive

I keep toying with trying to do something here to gain users. But what exactly is this place is my biggest thing. I am assuming you will be posting about it?
Honestly, I don't know how people just go around to general audience. I prefer to do it in more focused way, knowing who is my audience and what they are into.
I always adjust this place based on the person I am talking to and their interest. When I am talking to dev, I am talking about how they could build in this space and all the perks that come with it. When I am talking to writers, bloggers, etc I am showing them what benefits they could have of this space. Then if I am talking to gamers, it's really is about the game that this space has and all the fun things around it.
So, who are you most likely talking to? who are the person in your network? I mean if you're aspiring writers there's really so much to talk about and give it a compare + contrast to medium. Sometimes you can also leverage the fact that this space would increase their online visibility and article published here could rank higher in search engine given they actually write with SEO practices. From SEO perspective too, Hive isn't a bad back links. It gives mutual benefit for those who own another website adding hive into their main website while at the same time, increasing traffic to hive.
Recently, I am drawing an example of Solana. People don't really talk about Solana as a whole for regular users, they talk about the projects and the ecosystem in it. Afterall, Solana much like Hive is an infrastructure for web3.

😂 I need a lot of luck! So far, from what I heard people are either still skeptical about it because Crypto can often be associated with scams. So, I am really needing to find the part where I could convince them Hive isn't a scam.
I think the hardest part of trying to get someone involved in crypto is making them believe that not everything is a scam.
Now in Argentina, crypto scams are back in the spotlight thanks to a Ponzi scheme that operated under a fraudulent exchange called RainbowEx. Almost an entire small town in the north of Buenos Aires was scammed now that the pyramid collapsed. Imagine how that impacts our entire ecosystem here, no one wants to believe or at least invest if what appears in the news is only that.

Well babe, I would strongly recommend that you do not be foolish or timid with this project and ask to @valueplan for a nice big ball of money to finance you and reward your efforts. If others ask for it with useless and unproductive projects and nonsense and they give wheelbarrows of money to them, how could they not give it to you?

Ah, don't be foolish or shy babe. Just tell them that if they give you all the money you ask for, you'll give those seminars and workshops all over Java, Bahasa and Indonesia piloting on a rally car. };)
