People who like birds are more likely to see your post about birds, I'm not sure what your issue is with interested parties having more chance of seeing your content.
I guess that's what happens when antisocial people use social media.
Some people just don't blend well with others.
Could be that, just confusing to me why someone would want relevant content to be less visible!
I would love to see posts from you about birds in the #featheredfriends community @drutter. It's a great opportunity to learn about the different birds that live all around the world!
