I have my passion and am good at posting relevant content to my target audience, but I share across many platform and am terrible at a consistent "brand" or tagline. I often wonder how much more influence I would have if I had to time to do it better.

You need to be consistent to get more influence. Make a plan and stick to the plan.
Just checked your profile. You are an exceptional native writer and your niche is also exciting - Cybersecurity. I think your contents deserve more attention. Why you are just posting directly to the blog with a main tag and not in the community? For example - communities like OCD, deep dives, gems, Leo finance, etc.
I think you will get more influence if you do this. You are more experienced than me on this platform. But I believe you should give it a try.
