Suppose you went to buy shoes, now there are 2 brands of shoes in front, one is "Nike" and the other is "Crosty". Which brand will you choose now?
If I am not mistaking, then the price of Crosty brand shoes is much lower than Nike, but you will buy Nike shoes or sneakers. Why?
Because you have been hearing the name Nike since childhood and someone in your family has used more or less Nike sneakers. Nike is a place of trust for you. So you will prefer Nike from other brands.
So, what is a brand?
A brand is a place of trust where words and deeds match, you can trust with your eyes closed.
Now the question is do you want to establish yourself as a brand?
If you want people to see your work, listen to you or buy your product then you or your blog/profile has to be taken to the brand level. So what do we need if we want to see ourselves as a brand?
- Find your passion
- Select the platform of your choice
- Find your own unique style or niche
Let's break down...
Find out in advance what you are good at. Which one can you do better?
Digital Illustration, Art, Video Making, Article Writing, Audio Making, Gaming?
Do what you are good at.
If you go ahead with what you are not good at, it will be like putting a peacock's feathers on a crow. So the first thing to do is find your passion.
After getting the passion, you need a platform. Suppose you can give a very good speech, but you did not get the opportunity to give a speech at the event or gave a speech at a time when no one listened. So first fix what your playground will be! YouTube, Instagram, Reddit, Personal Website, or something else? Start with one.
Here we're are focusing on Hive so let's say your platform is Hive Blog. Make a good base on Hive like soldiers make during war. So that you can make a strong profile and nobody can find any flaw there.
And lastly, don't be a copycat. Find your own unique style. Give time, experiment a lot. Maintain a theme, color if needed, like unique blogger @sidwrites do in his articles. People will care after a certain time even if they don't care at first. Make people memorize your own style.
Help people to memorize your name or your brand name
Your name or your brand name will be in people's memory only when they get your content every day. Well, Let me explain -
In TV channels or Netflix, we see similar types of ads so many times. On TV there's even no option to skip ads like YouTube. After a while like this, I have memorized the whole ad about the brand, even though I didn't want to.
Let me give you another example, those who are on my follower list, they see my SEO related posts more often. Maybe it's about Hive's SEO or just basic SEO tips, But the post is related to SEO. So most followers in my Hive profile think that I am an SEO specialist.
What did you understand from these two examples? It takes one thing to help others to memorize your name or your work in the human brain... that is - "Consistency".
So the best thing is to post everyday. Try to post once every day. Thus your followers and other readers will find you as a consistent blogger.
But remember, if your content does not add value to the lives of others, then it will not be of any use. You are just writing for yourself or for some dummy.
For example - I know one of my Facebook friends who was once a good Gamer, now I don't know what happened to him he is posting just shit trolls on his status. As a result, his gamer friends are already started removing him from their friend list.
The point is are your works adding any value to other's perceptions?
Are you promoting your content to the wrong people?
People may watch for entertainment for a while. Then Unfollow/ unfriend / unsubscribe. So if you want to make yourself a brand, you have to create valuable content and upload them every day.
Now the question is, what if you can't post every day?
Post once a day, post thrice time a week, post 7 times a month. Doesn't matter! The thing matter is - Let your audience know in advance that they will get the content at that time. So set the strategy.
In short, you have to come within the rules. Organic growth is very important in anything. Only then you will get good result!
Don't forget to let me know in the comment section whether you maintain consistency, any posting strategy, or not! In the next article of this branding series, I will talk more about personal branding.

It’s super important
And remember to keep your content interesting!
So true! I am glad you liked it. :)
Thanks for retweeting also!
My consistency is "prolificity" -- both in writing short and serial long fiction and in fractal art, combined or separated, every day, with larger music projects coming every two to three weeks. I also use peakd.com so I can schedule posts -- so, on the days I have time I create more and spread the content out over several days so even though I do need downtime, there are no visible gaps to those kind enough to follow me, day in and day out...
This a comprehensive strategy. Thanks for sharing. I know a trick on post scheduling. I was going to write this one in my next article. Schedule your posts on odd times like 7.03 am or 5.49 pm or 6.19 pm or any odd timing according to your time frame! During these times, no one keeps a regular scheduled post. So your post is more likely to reach more people. This is called "odd time strategy."
You can give it a try! ;)
Good idea ... I do love 5s and 0s, but I suppose everybody else does too! "Odd Time Strategy" ... will try it tomorrow!
growing a personal mark it's so important that you mentioned @sidwrites and I understand what you're talking about brandring
Writing every day is not an easy task, especially if you have to write tutorials and other technical things, but this goes back to ourselves, how consistent and how much dedication we devote to achieving our writing goals every single day.
Thank you for the very constructive points and suggestions. Hive on!!!
Actually, I am inspiring to find a routine. No matter if you post every day, twice a week or 5 times a month. You must make a strategy and maintain consistency.
Thanks for your time. :)
I definitely missed the points you mentioned above, yes, finding strategy and routine is a must, as well as the value of the content we write.
Hello @pitboy...
In this section I am very interested
This explanation can arouse my enthusiasm in writing on this platform, I see when we have become a brand that is liked by everyone, then therein lies success. This is because information that comes from someone who has become a brand will be very useful. Your opinion is extraordinary in raising our spirits. Hopefully we can do it. Thank you very much for sharing ..... 👍

Hey, these days I've been thinking about what you just wrote.
Look at my blog is very diverse because when I thought about it I didn't know that the best thing was to keep and develop only one idea.
So create my profile with the topics I love to read, I write about spirituality, prosperity and tourism.
3 different topics but I believe that they are related to each other, because if you cultivate spirituality you will have prosperity and you will live in abundance and you will be able to enjoy tourism.
And the other thing is that I love contests and I participated a lot in them, losing sequence in my topics.
In conclusion a dilemma that I do not know how to solve. 🤦🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️
I have my passion and am good at posting relevant content to my target audience, but I share across many platform and am terrible at a consistent "brand" or tagline. I often wonder how much more influence I would have if I had to time to do it better.
You need to be consistent to get more influence. Make a plan and stick to the plan.
Just checked your profile. You are an exceptional native writer and your niche is also exciting - Cybersecurity. I think your contents deserve more attention. Why you are just posting directly to the blog with a main tag and not in the community? For example - communities like OCD, deep dives, gems, Leo finance, etc.
I think you will get more influence if you do this. You are more experienced than me on this platform. But I believe you should give it a try.
This is really helpful, though I might have a hard time coming up with a niche. Maybe after some time. Thanks for this!
Finding a niche is important if you want to get success on any blogging platform! Here's an article that may help you to find and select your niche. Good luck! :)
Thank you!
Congrats for helping us grow our brand!
How's the lockdown going?
Good article! The best thing is to be yourself while being the best at what you trully like. I hope more people will follow this through!
My posting consistency is absolute shit, but people know if you want high quality erotic Garfield fan fiction, I’m the only game in town.
looks at the date of his last post
I've failed you, Master..
In my defence, I use twitter and discord to announce when a new post is out and chatting with the followers/friends I explain whenever I feel inspired or nah for a new post
Hello @pitboy,
Very interesting your post. Create your brand, I understand the background of your advice, is to achieve your niche and base of followers.
I believe that the heart of the matter when you participate in platforms with Hive, the first thing you try is to belong to a community that shares your interests and in this sense, you have an open window to share your passions. Along the way, you try and adopt the best practices until, without realizing it, you have your style that defines your virtual personality. In this sense, imitating is not bad as long as the goal is to optimize it. Also, by combining various practices, one creates a creature type where you are Dr. Frankenstein. That if you are successful or not, you explained it very well, perseverance, and method guided by intelligence. I would add, with a good dose of engagement.
