First off, welcome to hive. It's an incredibly unique social media experience so I'm sure you'll enjoy yourself here. In regards to post ideas.. Well you live in Indiana. I've spent time around the Ft. Wayne area and Huntington. If you like being outdoors there's a number of wild plants, and fungi that have edible/medicinal uses in your region of the country. You could blog about those topics while you learn on your walks. We have a great community here called Natural Medicine which is awesome, and loads of great folks who will support your content. Then there's photography communities and various others. Best of luck, and always feel free to shout if you need a hand or have any questions. :)

Shame I think my friend already gave up, at least he had a little bit of Hive Keychain trouble, got frustrated, and apparently hasn't logged in since. I kept his keys as a safety backup, so I can only he'll want to log back in some day. When and if he does, I'll help him with any questions he may have. Frustrating that he came so close and the learning curve overwhelmed him.
I have had similar issues in getting friends and family to stick it here. It's sorta funny that when you mention the plus sides of engaging here you will get interest. But once it becomes something that requires understanding a new form of ease of access then they go straight off it. Once one understands it all it is rather easy. But hose few extra key strokes sometimes seem like a bridge to far for those who are accustomed to easy sign up, log in, and content submission formats. A shame. Well at least you got him to dip a toe in so that's a plus. Out of the dozens I've introduced to this space only one (my cousin) still posts on here from time to time. You never know, your friend may circle back when spare time and a more valuable hive token meet at the same place and time.
