Dear Hivers,
If you have been following me, you may have seen my earlier articles around Peakd.
I have shared some of the powerful features that I love. And then I also shared 13 more reasons to use Peakd.
And now, as Peakd continues to evolve, I wanted to share five more new features worth knowing. They have been added recently and you will find them useful in many ways.
Here we go:
1. Massive Change In Cross-post
I never really understood why cross-posts were built this way:
First, you have to click the post. It opens up. And then you open the link to find the original article. It is a three-step process.
Now things have changed.
With Peakd, the cross-post box is on the top. Meaning: You only have to click once and you will be directed to the original article.
You can engage and discuss on these cross-posts.
This truly is a game-changer and makes reading so much more easier.
2. You Can Tip Comments
As an author, it feels great to receive tips for your articles. This feature was added recently. And now, this feature has expanded.
If you would like to save your voting power — or if you found a comment incredibly valuable — you can send a Hive tip. All that without leaving your page.
3. Discover “Hot” Content
If you go to the homepage, you may probably find the same content — sitting as a Trending post for more than 24 hours. Plus, the content sorting options are limited.
This is where the “Hot” filter is useful.
To access this, simply open Peakd and select Hot:
Note: Though this feature already existed, Peakd has updated its algorithm. Hot has been tweaked for better output.
4. Manage Delegations Easily
As a writer, I am not 100% familiar with delegations. That is why, for a long time, I never delegated anyone. However, after testing this new feature — I totally get it.
It really is simple: You go to Peakd. Then your wallet. And click on the search icon. Through this, you can see the outgoing and incoming delegations:
5. Wallet Has Been Redesigned
Look at this:
In short: You have a neat wallet dividing your Hive from your Hive Engine tokens. Plus, you also have others and games collection.
I totally love the design here.
More new and useful features within Peakd.
They take you from writing to easily reading cross-posts and checking your beautiful wallet. Plus, you can also tip authors and commentators without leaving your page.
Overall, within two months, we have observed lots of updates and we will continue to see many more in the future.
Over to you: Have you explored these features? Do you use it regularly? Have you found them useful? What's your fav? Do let me know through the comment section below. Whatever it is, I would love to know! :)
Cheers,
Sid

I love the countdown feature hidden in the advanced settings below the post editor.
Very useful!
Awesome. Do you mind if i cross post this to the Hive Beginners Tips Community?
Hi Stellar, I would be delighted. Please go ahead. <3
i did! thanks
You are amazing. Thanks!
More coming! :)
Well explained....👍 Makes the job user for its user.
You really need to increase the time between your pics on the wallet gif, the flashing is a bit hard on the eyes, and it is almost impossible to make out what they keep switching to or between. I agree some wonderful upgrades.
Hehe! It was 5 am and I 100% agree with you. I wish the tool had this option (using Snagit). I vividly remember how flashy this GIF was... and was thinking if someone will point it out.
Definitely editing this! :D
Thank you!
It is a pain, but I actually still use the windows 3.something version of gif animator, when I want to put a small one together. you can set the interval, and the number of times it will from indefinite to only 10 times if you want.
Congratulations @sidwrites! You have completed the following achievement on the Hive blockchain and have been rewarded with new badge(s) :
You can view your badges on your board and compare to others on the Ranking

Do not miss the last post from @hivebuzz:
Do you have any idea why PeakD asks for the ACTIVE key just to join?
I was about to sign in as I'm already on Hive, and was shocked when it asked for my ACTIVE key just to start using PeakD.
I backed right out...
We don't.
Which login method are you using?
Hivesigner. Just tried it again now, here's the actual text:
This transaction requires your active key.
This is the standard login procedure with Hivesigner. You have to grant the posting authority (and to do this the active key is required). If you don't want to use the active key you can login with Keychain or Peaklock and use only the posting key.
We shared the post in the PeakD community with some incentive for those that share their other need to know features.
