RE: Engage in Hive

in OCD5 years ago

I’ll probably go into more detail when I get around to an entry, but something I feel is of note is the potential hive has to be for citizenry 2.0. One of the first thoughts that occurred to me when I first discovered blockchain was how it could apply to government, then discovered Steem, but didn’t quite get it. Moving forward I’m reminded of a common phrase I’ve heard various educators utter over the years, “communism looks good on paper but doesn’t work in practice.” I feel at least part of that is because people can’t be trusted... but blockchains and smart contracts can. I’m curious to see how government evolves now that arguably every user knows the basics of witnesses and how to delegate to those they trust if they don’t have time or inclination to dive deeper and cast votes individually.

Then there’s the DAO that requires community input to direct project development. Getting the common folk to take an active role in the financial system and government is nothing short of training responsible citizens, which some would argue are in low supply at the moment.

This is fertile ground for many seeds but those are the ones I’m most interested in.

I want to delegate 100 sp to @azircon
Hi @sinistry! I`m here to help :) If you want to delegate, please make a comment (for example replay to this one) like this:Where X is the amount of SP and @user is the steem user you want to delegate to. For example:@tipU will answer with a delegation link. Hope this helps!:)
