I'm still voting mostly manually as I want my votes to go where they are earned and where they do most good. Something I am trying is boring more on comments. The author still gets the rewards and less goes to the big accounts that vote without reading. This may compromise my own curation rewards in some cases, but I do okay. I want to see a better distribution of rewards. It all takes time, but it has to be fun for me, not work.
Manual curation is the only way to go, imho. I am also focusing on smaller accounts but I kinda don't wanna miss any good post.
That's why I created a new initiative 'No great post left behind' where I will highlight low rewarded but great posts. That way y'all can cast a few upvotes on great posts somehow missed by curators.
You can check it here if you r interested.
PS, yeah I should do more comments.
Time is the limiting factor. I spend too much of it on Hive as it is. I mostly read posts by the people I follow, but I will see others that they share. I do my #FollowFriday posts to try and get more attention for people who deserve it.
I think it's sad to see posts get hundreds of votes, but few or no comments. It shows that too many people are relying on auto-votes. I benefit from that, but would happily lose some rewards for more engagement.
Tell me about it, I'm mostly on Hive. If not, I'm probably sleeping lol
Yap, sad to see that and we must change it, step by step. Thanks for motivating me to comment more, I needed that!
