Health is wealth as it's always said.
On Today's blog, I'm gonna be listing my 3 healthy habits.
Talking of healthy habit, I believe this are not just those which has to do with maybe, personal hygiene or so, but with every part of our life, like health wise, financially, mentally, morally and so on.
Habit No.1
I have consciously made it an habit to thank God in every thing that's happens. Even though it looks funny to most people, in the sense that they tell me something went wrong and I'll say "thank God", most of them think I'm always joking but really I mean it. Even sometimes it happens unconsciously, and at that moment I'll remember that God has a hand in every single thing that happens, so this hereby always put my heart to rest any time I'm anxious.
Habit No.2
Should I say, I've made it an habit to say whatever is on my mind, or I think it something that came to me naturally, growing up, I have a father who really likes to be respected most especially by his children (although he is now more understanding). And in our culture its considered disrespect to speak back whenever our parent are talking (I really don't know, what determines the boundary though), but I've always had a character which is, if I did something wrong and you accuse me, It would hit me really bad. But in a case were I'm innocent and you're accusing me, I really don't care who you are, I would try my best not to be insultive, but I'll make sure I tell my innocent side of the story, and this never goes well with my father. So the tendency of hold back your tongue is always there.
But ever since I've determined to always speak for or against whatever I believe and know is right, and this has always brought peace to my heart, because if I'm accused and never speak out after a while I'll been to feel guilty and even sometimes begin to consider the possibility that i committed the crime of which I never did.
Habit No.3
I also made it an habit, to try out whatever anyone thinks I can't do. Recently I did a labourer's job, ( labourer as we call it in Nigeria : i can't remember what they are called in proper english, but over here they are people who help in carrying blocks and cement on construction sites, not the engineer), i still live with my parents and I also have my own job(although not always) and by God's grace, He has been a provider both personally and to us as a family, so the reason why I did it wasn't because of the money (even though we can't rule that out completely) why I did it was simply because I felt the work was hard (might sound weird) but it true. I've seen a lot of men carrying blocks and cement under the sun, sweat as if they've just taken their bath, and me not been an aje butter too decided i would try it out. I've made it a habit to take up those challenges whenever i feel it will be too hard and most of the time I've always noticed that this things are mostly games of the mind, if you set your heart to do it, you will.
N.B: I never said that the challenge was easy, it was hard, for me the work wasn't the hardest, I think the hardest was the fact that for a whole day under the sun heat you get paid 1500 naira, when you could have made more doing something easier.
You can also join me and a host of better writers than myself, like @starstrings01 @macchiata, @wolfofnostreet, @lauramica, @pejupops, @officialuroga, @janettyanez who are already in this challenge, make sure to check their challenge posts also as you would find great contents. The goal of this challenge is to help increase our engagement and commitment on the hive blockchain and also help in the issue of not knowing what to write about. I hope to see you on the challenge soon. Bye for now
You are really like me. Any time I am accused wrongly, I don't fkin care who accuses me, I would do my best to prove my innocence.
Even if that means me getting a slap or two.
I guess they're also called labourers or blue collar guys.
I'm also thankful for life too.
Speaking up also make life easy going because holding grudges isn't good at all
Grudges are always burdens Bro. Speaking up doesn't only help, it also shows the other person you are sure of what you are saying/what you stand for.
I love your idea that healthy habits are not just physical. It's good that you have implemented saying everything you think, it is liberating.
