Today guys I'll be blogging about My Favorite Childhood Book.
For the record I never loved books, not at any time (I think), although just yesterday I picked up a novel which I've been reading and it seems very interesting to me, I'll post a review of it very soon.
As for my childhood book, I can't really remember any except the fact I know I definitely would have used "english queen premier" but apart from that I can't remember any other.
I know in some settings we have cases were the father/mother read a particular book to their kids before bed every night, over here there nothing like that, if you like go and sleep and if you like stay awake so far your parents has feed you, its left to you to decide, no one has the time for reading any book to their kids.
But it really isn't their fault, in a society where you have to wake up 4am everyday and return home 11pm or else you risk losing your job, that idea isn't advisable.
As far as I can remember the first story I read and loved was a story book titled Ralia the sugar girl (don't ask me to explain what happened in the book, I would definitely fail in that, but let me check up Google and see if the book still exists.)
Wow it really still exist thanks to the internet.
What the Story is About?
Ralia is missing from home under mysterious and unfortunate circumstances. Therefore, she goes through ordeals, one after the other: First in the hands of a wicked witch and then a hunter.
Will she survive these ordeals and return home…… and under what circumstances?
This story book really bring back memories, ralia was a girl who went to the farm and came across a bird/butterfly while trying to catch the bird she missed her way in the bush and got lost, and the book tells us of many things she came across in the bush, one thing I can't forget about the book is that it reminded us not to be careless in the bush, ohh and it thought us to also fear old women in the bush (lol).
That will be all for my participation today.
But this can't help but bring back to mind stories like koku baboni (every typical Nigerian would know this books), you can comment below those which you still remember, let go back memory lane together.
You can also join me and a host of better writers than myself, like @starstrings01 @macchiata, @wolfofnostreet, @lauramica, @pejupops, @officialuroga, @janettyanez who are already in this challenge, make sure to check their challenge posts also as you would find great contents. I have read sugar girl before but forgotten the story line, same as koku baboni.
I can't remember the books I read unless someone says the name then I would know if I had read it.
I really didn't remember the storyline until I googled it.
It so amazing how easily this things slip-by. Time is a cheat.
Yeah.. most times our brain offloads less important information so it could take in new ones that's why we forget things over time.
Ralia Ralia Ralia, her mother called, come home Ralia 😂😂😂😂 I loved sugar girl back in the day ohhh. Like We was reading this book like it was a poem, this is one lovely story book back then. Well done.
Haha, memories are always fun
You got that right man.
Hi @suffgrace
That story was not known to the girl Ralia, the important thing is the moral you took from that reading.
That's true
Everybody likes Sugar girl...lol
