Seeing as you can only post into one community at once, limiting curation to only your community is counter to the idea of communities.
"OCD" community really doesn't describe any one thing, it's just anything and everything. A community for everyone is a community for no one.
This is my concern as well and I've already witnessed this happening with people that were posting in OnChainArt ditching it to post in OCD.
Considering they generally WILL get much higher upvotes, I can't really ask them to post in my community without it sounding a bit selfish on my part.
Hmm, did you read these parts?
Yes, but the idea of limiting (even if it isn't completely limited, just primary focus) curation to one community will encourage many people to use your community to get larger votes rather than communities for focused on the topic.
If it was a community about flowers and you were curating flowers, sure. In my opinion, a general community is counter productive and will hinder unique and focused communities from growing.
Yeah that is not our goal, we hope crossposting becomes available as soon as possible so we don't take posts from niche communities but assist them in getting more curation instead. Right now we want to encourage #posh and getting as much traffic to Steemit/peak and it's beta sites as it seems of most importance.
I don't think cross posting is going to happen, at least not for a while. I have something I am working on related to #posh that might be interesting.
Cool, looking forward to it!
We been thinking about a bot that tracks the Twitter engagement and comments with info on a post later on to curate throughout that or add some more voting power based on it but lacking the Devs right now.
