INTRODUCTION
We didn't post on HIVE in a very long time. It's hard not to notice that past several weeks have been very messy and conflict between those 2 chains (steem vs hive) is only bringing more tension and uncertainty.
It's surely not a pleasent environment to work within.
Regardless - it's time to summarize some of our weekly progress as a community and look back at events which unfolded and could affect our work. It's time to think about small the steps we're all going to take next week. Steps in which will help us to strengthen our community during this difficult times.
Let's start with the most important event. HF23 ...
WILL @project.hope BE AFFECTED?
Many of us are probably wondering how the PH community would be affected by this increasing conflict. And my simple answer is: it definetly will be
.
As many other projects out there, especially those of which who are trying to be NEUTRAL and supporting authors on both chains will be facing many unknown challenges and consequences.
We can obviously sit down and cry but I refuse to do so. Change is a threat for many, and opportunity for others. I see the current change as a number of short term blows, however it's also an opportunity to build new fruitful contacts.
XPILAR powering down
One of the very first and really painful consequence will be the fact that our supporter @xpilar is powering down and he (together with his team) will no longer be able to support us on HIVE blockchain. Unfortunatelly he is in position, where he may not like to have anything to do with HIVE in the future.
This will directly affect our curation trail in the most negative way.
IMPORTANT REMINDER
What is important to remember is that our goal is to STAY NEUTRAL
within this conflict. And we're here to support quality content, published by active and supportive users, engaging with others within our community. Regardless of what blockchain they are using.
We also need to remember, that we (users) are real assets here, worth fighting for.
Also ...
I would also like to remind to all PH community members, that I've limited the amount of upvotes which I can use to support your content and I need to spread them within group of over 80 active content creators. It's a very challenging task.
Please remember, to post maximum 3-4 times a week within our community. It's really difficult for me to support you with an upvote if you post more publications than that.
FINAL WORD
That would be all for this week. It was surely a very upsetting week and seeing events unfolding around recent hard fork HF23 made me lose part of my trust and confidence towards the safety of fund stored on blockchain.
Hopefully next week will not shock us all with another unfolding dramma,
Yours,@crypto.piotr

Dear @pfunk
Are you really trying to punish regular users and create more conflicts with them, simply because they are trying to find ways to survive during this open war between powerful users?
And yes. PH is trying to be neutral as possible. We've tried to reach out to several large accounts on HIVE, asking for support to our community and we were simply ignored.
It's obvious that community leaders will be seeing support to their communties on both chains. We do not care about your fight and we wish NOT TO BE DRAGGED into it.
Unfortunatelly attacking communities like PH by you or @theycallmedan is not going to serve any purpose. The only thing you both achieved is simple: you're turning part of large group of regular content creators against yourself and making this place (hive) look like it's full of anger and aggression.
Regards,
Piotr
You're collaborating with thieves. Don't expect rewards from here. The rest of the PH community won't get downvoted, just your accounts.
Hello @pfunk
I must say that your reasons are just terrible. Project.hope is bringing huge value to both chains.

Can you find many other communities, which would invest that much time and energy into supporting small users? Please share info about such a communities with us. We surely would like to know.
Attacking leaders of our community only because they are looking for support on both blockchains, avoiding taking sides - it's just so wrong on so many levels.
People like you create more damage than good.
Great, keep bringing Hive value. But as long as you keep collaborating with Steemit, don't expect Hive to reward your posts. Again, this does not apply to whoever you upvote.
Dear @pfunk
I do not expect hive to reward my post. I expect that HIVE will respect will of those legal stakeholders, who do reward this post.
Again, I'm here to SERVE our PH community. This is role of true leader. And our commnunity will is to be neutral (you can read yourself all those comments in this topic, quite many of them).
At the end of the day, people like us are final Customers. And if you put conflict of wealthy and powerful people aside - then STEEM and HIVE are nothing but tools. Which are offering some utility for it's users.
And we want to enjoy that utility being offered, without being targetted for political reasons. Reasons which have nothing to do with any of us.
If your goal is to help HIVE to grow, then you (hopefully) will understand this point of view. And instead of targetting valuable initiatives and work coming from valuable users - you will instead find ways to support their efforts.
Simply because success of strong communities like PH is aligned with success of hive/steem/blurt or whatever else blockchain out there will be forked from steem.
Yours,
Piotr
You've been using Steem and now Hive long enough, you should know by now that post payouts are pending stakeholder votes until they're 7 days old. Nothing's guaranteed until then, and downvotes exist to allow stakeholders to modify pending rewards downwards. It's our inflation, after all.
Not attacking community. Downvoting collaborators' posts. Hive shouldn't be rewarding people who are collaborating with an illegitimate blockchain solely controlled by a child who is being actively hostile towards it.
Dear @pfunk, being honest I understand that you are angry with people with whom they are having a conflict that does not diminish and that in turn hurts both chains.
Now, do not see Project HOPE as an enemy, our commitment from the beginning of this project is with the community not with the elites, our commitment is to promote the growth of users around the world for whom the coins we receive here represent the livelihood of the family.
When I met @crypto.piotr I was about to leave Steemit, however he supported me from the beginning of 2019 until now, that support made my commitment grow and now I try to do the same with those who arrive.
Thanks to the support of this project, I was able to found a program called HOPE DAY through the @hope.venezuela account, this program right now is supporting children in Venezuela with food.
https://hive.blog/hive-148441/@hope.venezuela/5nemfy-1-hive-and-your-upvote-can-make-a-difference-day-of-hope-update
In conclusion, our intention has been and will continue to be to remain neutral to any conflict and focus on helping people, that is the spirit of this project, I hope you can understand that behind this project there is much more.
Behind this project there is HOPE!
Thanks friend!
All change brings turbulence. So it involves having a certain degree of objectivity in these matters.
I don't see anywhere that PH is biased towards one chain or the other. The bias is directed towards the users that in the projecto.hope community we make life. There is no doubt that many users are surviving in this crisis thanks to a project that has allowed through steemit and now also through hive, by means of the resources that we, the content creators, generate. And this is a way to reach many sites around the world, and have a positive impact on different people.
The activity of the Community shows it, permanent interaction between users, frequent publications, it has been possible to build something good, from that project that was first developed by @crypto.piotr and @juanmolina, that has arisen with the intention of helping a few and currently the support is for hundreds of users.
I have helped with the entrance to Hive of dozens of users, guided them throughout this process of incorporation without any economic interest, I create content to facilitate the process of incorporation and that they remain. And I will continue to do so, because I believe in this. It does not have to do with the war between both powerful parties, much less with biases, it has to do with something new that many are joining with great hope, but actions against a community like this, I think it can not give a good picture of the platform.
I respect your point of view @pfunk, but I don't share it...
Dear @pfunk I respect your opinion as well as that of any of the parties, however, I cannot share your reasons at all and explain why.
I am since the year 2017 publishing in these blockchain and currently in HIVE, in all this period of time and until this very year that I met and joined the community of @project.hope, I had not been taken into account at all, nor by any strong investor or whale that would like to support my work which is education in branches like blockchain, cryptomonics, trading and operation of platforms like this. Only PH and @crypto.piotr took me into account, in a disinterested way, gave me courage and has helped me in all this time, has motivated me to continue here and has supported me in facing the difficult situation of country Venezuela.
Only because of a conflict that does not concern us as (SMALL FISH) I think it is totally unfair to attack the community in this way, just because they can do it due to the power they have, the pillar of the community and the platform are the users and by attacking it together with their collaborators it is harming all the small ones that we publish here and make life.
Because they don't care about supporting this type of community, helping those who don't have much visibility, growing, undertaking their own initiative with creativity, making contributions, this for me is more important. Where is the DECENTRALIZATION of the chain and the free will? We do not harm anyone, we cannot and we are not interested in doing so, because we only want to support the most needy, so that they grow on the platform, so that they create projects, so that many of these people that we teach bring many more, teach them how HIVE works and the adoption of it grows. Instead they decide to harm those who remain neutral and who only continue to do their work. SUPPORT USER CONTENT
It is really unfortunate to see this, with all the respect that @pfunk deserves and I have also admired their great work and I hope they continue to have successes, but I cannot at any time support such abuse of power.
Downvoting “collaborators'” posts is attacking the community. Worse: It gives the whole chain a bad name.
@pfunk, Brother.
I met you years ago at Openmic, in Lucy's posts you always received credit for your great work on steemit.
I learned to admire your work on the platform.
I am Venezuelan and like many of my friends I started steemit making music. The community of Venezuelans find in Steemit an important source of income (I do not know if you are aware of the economic situation in my country).
In my particular case I had the joy of meeting Piotr and we founded Project Hope.
You have no idea how many people and families benefit from PH. I mean the real possibility of bringing food to our table, brother.
We have also developed very strong bonds of friendship.
Project Hope only seeks to remain neutral in this dispute because the future of those Venezuelan families depends on our future as a community.
Don't think that we are supporting thieves. We are really supporting content creators.
That's great, but collaborators are going to get downvoted. Not the posts they upvote, mind you, but their own posts.
I respect your decision because I suppose that it is the product of reflection and deliberation. I am sure it is not a random event.
It is a policy assumed by you and other powerful users like @theycallmedan.
You are people who have known how to win the admiration and respect of the users. Hopefully, our more than 1K subscribers do not misinterpret your actions, since it is painful to see how our beloved community is attacked.
I respect your decision, although I cannot support it.
Hi @pfunk, I hope you can answer this other question of mine:
As you know, we got the 200K SP delegation for a month from stinc, which we've used to reward our content creators inside and outside PH.
Well, this delegation will be taken from us from June 1, since we were not selected for another delegation period (apparently we do not meet stinc expectations).
Perhaps it is possible that this downvote decision that affects @project.hope will be changed from June 1, since we would not be collaborating with stinc anymore?
I also want you to know that you can count on us as a small growing community, to accompany any initiative you undertake at HIVE and that is in favor of the growth of all users and the entire ecosystem.
Your friend, Juan.
I have started to power down my SteemIt account.
And more and more my desire to power down Hive as well grows in me.
Vengefulness and mob justice is not a good signal to send to your investors.
Both chains have shown that they can and will remove funds from an account at the snip of a hard fork. Both chains have shown that “Funds Not Are Safu”
It all leave the bad taste of “Will I be next”
Hello @pfunk:
strong statements calling an entire community "thieves", I am personally a creator of digital content, whose teacher is currently the playwright Rubén Darío Gil who is recognized theater director, writer, and recognized university professor in Venezuela and in the art world.
I am not a thief.
Our community has brought hope to a group Venezuelans that we are really going through the most difficult situation of our lives, in my case it helps me through my work to provide me with food that help me to overcome the complex situation that the country is going through, @project.hope has collaborated with users in both chains (hive & steemit), so much so that in May we received a delegation important from steemit INC, so I think it shows that this doing a good job for the entire ecosystem.
Our desire is to remain neutral and we do not want to participate in any conflict that you or any other user has.
We are contributing to the community with our content and not creating noise through controversy and fighting, our members are professionals in business, writing, technology, finance, cryptocurrency and other areas and we want to continue dedicating ourselves to our own without walking any Chain afraid of receiving insults or sanctions for doing our job. I invite you to create engagement and collaborate with minnows who need to have a good impression of these ecosystems.
Lets be supporting factors and not messengers of hatred and conflict, let's join forces and not divide as socialism does in Venezuela
To be clear I am not calling the PH community thieves. The hollow shell of a company known as Steemit and its owner Sun Yuchen are thieves. Project Hope is collaborating with them. Project Hope posts will be downvoted, like all other thief and thief collaborators' posts. Posts upvoted by PH won't be downvoted. Is that clearer?
I get it.
But with that you are sabotaging the work of a community and who we make life in it.
I understand your vision, but I do not share it, I think it is better to send a positive message to those who are going to read this thread so that they have a positive impression of Hive and not the opposite, as user with high reputation I think that is the message that we should transmit, don't you think?
I wish all this drama could end. This thing cou.d scare a lot of investors. So sorry for the loss of support from Xpillars. I hope things get better
I hope you can operate on both chains without much diffuculties.
Sad to hear @xpilar is powering down :c
Are you focusing on steem @xpilar?
I strongly feel being on steem and hive both provides opportunities as well as challenges. I totally agree that the situation is getting a bit more challenging to say the least however lets look back from the time when the community was started from scratch and look how far it has come and how it has become stronger and powerful.
I do not imply that we should rest on past laurels however I look at it as the silver lining to the dark clouds of the current times.
I know that financial sustainability is an important for any project to survive so we as a community would need to retrain ourselves to make each one of us more equipped to tackle these challenges.
Wow. Appreciate this amazing comment @thetimetravelerz
hope to see you more often posting within PH :)
It is said to hear about @Xpilar powering down. Good to see that PH is staying neutral. As a community, we have to be ready for the surprises in the coming days. Cheers!
@project.hope yes this is a difficult time. But I know we will over come this situation.
Yes you are right we need to be neutral.
We are here to curate quality content writes and support them.
Lastly with powering down means less upvote in the coming future.
It's really terrible to see the fights within. As it was mentioned in this post, I believe strongly that this crisis will turn to become opportunity for the PH family. We have to remain strong, neutral and optimistic. I believe we will win together if we do not tire out.
Sad to hear that @xpilar is powering down and he (together with his team) will no longer be able to support HIVE blockchain but I believe that Hive has a great future ahead and together, the remaining of us in this platform can work harder to make that a reality.
PH will have a different set of investors in two chains down the line I guess.
You are very right. The best way to move forward is to stay neutral and stay active whike relating with each other's blogs and post. This way, we will get to know each other better and move together in whatever direction hive and steem leads us.
We just hope it will be a postive drive. We should just stay optimistic. Thanks for all the support @project.hope. We won't stop supporting the project too with our beneficiary rewards to @ph-fund while posting quality contents. Stay safe.
Thanks for the update
Definitely sad to lose the support of @xpilar but well these things are emotional, I however know that with the right approach project hope can get futuristic support. We lose one to get another and I'm really not happy this is happening. The community will stand strong
In his post in steem @xpilar said that his fund was moved by someone else. So it is reasonable for him to power down his asset before he lost all.
Hi @lebah
I cant find you on discord :/ did you change your username? Can you DM me?
I don't change my name. I only spent little time on discord because discord loading is too slow with my internet connection.
Discord name ono
It is necessary in these critical moments not to lose the horizon and the objectives set by the community, I know that it is difficult in the midst of this dispute between hive and steem, but if we remain united we will surely succeed.
Project Hope has my support. Greetings
Each time when we believe that the worst is over, there is a new attack coming from somewhere. It's tiring and it's difficult to build something constructive on such a basis. It's bad for Steem, it's bad for Hive, it's bad for everybody.
Thanks for the information.
And it is really sad to see xpillar powering down.
I believe support will surely arise
Its sad news for the lost support from @xpilar. It's important in such a situation to stay focused as we continue adding value to both chains. Good things will still fall in place for PH.

Thanks for this great update on this issue. I will love to join you guys here as one family and also on discord.
This is pathetic.
Dear @guiltyparties
What is pathetic in your opinion? I've noticed that you downvoted this post. I presume our efforts to stay away from conflict of powerful user and to actually support large number of quality content creators is not accepted by you?
I will continue searching support on both chains and we will all continue being neutral. Obviously we're prepared to encouter hostile behaviours. However it's really up to you what goals you want to achieve. Is your goal to discourage another solid community, which already struggle because of this conflict? Conflict which has nothing to do with us? Would you think that hostile behaviours are the ones which can encourage people to stick around?
If you don't like what we do, then it's okey. you do not need to support our work and efforts. However you also do not need to attack it and prove that HIVE is as hostile as people keep saying (lately I'm hearing it more and more often).
Regards,
Piotr
This is such insane bullshit that I won't even bother explaining.
A lot of resentment in some comments, I think the healthiest thing would be to let work and support the users that we make life in both platforms, the community of @project-hope is totally neutral about these disagreements between one side and the other, at no time has taken sides towards Steemit or Hive, it simply seeks to support all its users in the best possible way, many of us depend on that project and we just want the community to move forward!
Hello to all my dear friends. I thought about giving my opinion, however it would be dredund in everything that is said in these comments.
We as a team are not and have never tried to do any harm to anyone, because we know how difficult it is to emerge on this or any platform where we create content, we are not thieves even though it was clarified but in the first appreciation that is they give when they accuse us of that.
We have never been taken into account by any of the great and powerful who are in both chains, but since we joined efforts we have grown for the good of others because we help others, who like us are not seen, we also take care of the platform by doing Attention calls to those who are not doing things well that we do not allow as a community and as a family, it is a little unfair the measures they will take against the account, I do not support that measure, but given that this platform was created by the abuse of another, it is not fair that those who have nothing to do with the conflict are attacked.
We will continue supporting good writers just as we have been doing because that helping hand is what all the new ones that enter this platform need as well as those of us who are already here.
I hope that my words do not affect anyone, that is not my intention when expressing what I think.
I see I am seeing this post too late, been busy with a stray kitty at home so could not follow all this drama on time but it affects me,as can't use exchanges to withdraw steem, thankfully steem-engine helped , just shows that decentralised system like dex helps...
Although, yes duty is to support quality content, can't but wonder if steem is reaching its bottom. It's not correct to feel your funds won't be safe in other blockchain platforms because of this Steem case, because centralisation attack took place, there will always be blockchain platforms where your funds would be safe.
I am glad @project.hope is still continuing on without geting bogged down, because this instance was really harsh and nasty but we move on.
I hope HIVE thrives though, a off shoot of Steem, standing for things that steem could not, atleast our funds here that's airdropped from Steem will be growing hopefully, along with the HIVE platform ofcourse. Not taking sides it's the only option now.
