In cities and towns the number of stray dogs are increasing. Thanks to civic society efforts culling of strays have stopped but the spread has not stopped So we end up having roving packs at night. It is an issue that we are still trying to work out without being cruel to animals. Most people who are comfortable around animals still do run and at times dogs might run with you and bark and then just settle down. However because of my fear I end up exciting them even more. so not worth the risk.

Runners are increasing here too, especially among the young crowd and the IT crowd. Running and cycling both. And the city i am in has a lot of trekking and hiking places around for people who like the outdoors. I like my bed more :D
I remember once in Ipswish I was walking back home after a dinner and my place was near the city center. There was zero traffic, and what weirded me out was zero people and zero strays. I was so not used to be that alone in middle of a city that it almost scared me :D
