I have been (half-arse) attempting this. I don't seem to be anywhere near as consistent as you but I'm definitely a fan of it now that I understand the theory. (Like you, I was skeptical until someone explained it well to me).

er goals, goals, goals... I really need to think of some. Would like a race/event to aim for each season. February (winter, just) is the 7 hour race. I need one for late spring/early summer, and then one more for autumn.

I wanted to do 2023km in the year 2023, and annoyingly i think I'm gonna just fall short (i've got 200km to do in 2 weeks, which is technically doable but not sensible). Next year I plan on NOT getting injured for 3 months, which will help help with reaching 2024km in 2024. I also want to stay away from 'performance' goals. I'm not in a position to aim for a sub 4 hour marathon, or sub 45 minute 10k. I'd rather just keep training sensible, and keep aiming for improvements, and then the improved performance will come later almost as a secondary bonus.

But yes Races.... I'll need to do some research on that!

Have you got goals for 2024 (i don't like 'New Years Resolutions') but goals are good!

100% agree. Feel the same way about this and any time I find anything that supports my health that's free or crazy cheap I'm like, "what the?!"
